The thing that really grinds me is that they always refer to it as "the traditional season opener". They only started this around 2007/2008 and have had a couple of subsequent seasons where they split the opening round and it wasn't played until wk2.

It's a crap fixture as at least one team has been garbage since they started it. I'm happy for Richmond to open as they are the premiers, but give us someone else who will actually come to play.

Believe the tradition started in ‘09 with two ex WCE captains and Brownlow medalists.

Prime accumulator/endurance beast Andrew Gaff, the super sub. Woosha really had NFI what he was doing with the sub. Not that anyone really did.

Happy that we could pad Gaff's game tally though. I think he's our most likely bet to hit 300, maybe Darling.
