I think We should look at Stack the way we look at Liam Ryan.

Ryan has had his run ins, before being drafted (crown casino) and in his first year at the club (DUI).

Ryan has really come a long way.

He was 21 when we drafted him, older than what Stack is now.

We should back in our culture and the environment we have created.

Stacks coach is Paul Peos, inaugral Eagle. We should enquire and see if he has any interest in returning to WA. We can offer a one year rookie contract, which is what he has at Richmond. Give Tigers a 3rd rounder given he won't play for the early part of next season.
I thought Stack was upgraded and given a 2 year contract last year?

Our club is risk adverse.
They wouldn't look at Stack before this **** up.
There's no way they would even consider him now IMO.

And tbh I am completely ok with that. We have a good group of blokes, we don’t need some dickhead to come in and spoil that.

Stack is on the rookie list and he is under contract until the end of next year.

His manager is inaugral Eagle, Paul Peos who also manages Jake the Snake.

I agree West Coast are risk averse. They didn't look at him in 2018, but his 2019 form warrants being looked at.

Also - I think the club was looking at Pickett last year. I think the club is slowly starting to back in their culture when it comes to providing support to players from different backgrounds and understanding some of the challenges that go along with that. Including with some of the Indigenous boys, some of whom need a bit of extra structure and guidance. That is essentially why we have Chance and Narkle in our footy dept.

Question would be whether he wants to come home, what list sizes look like, what happens with Rioli etc.

I think a one year spot on a rookie list is pretty low risk.

I bet you probably said the same thing when Liam Ryan got done for DUI and hit a tree.

Or when he had a fight with his missus and police served a temporary "cool off" notice.

Or when Rioli got pinged for smoking pot.

Delist, delist, delist.... Right?

Some players need more support and structure than others. Zero surprises that Stack has struggled in this strange year. Being left to his devices during the COVID break and by all accounts not doing the work and coming back unfit.

Now finding himself out of the team, with very little to do, and finding himself in a big pile of shitt of his own making. Devil finds work for idle hands.

That doesn't make him irredeemable. It makes him someone who has a lot to offer, but also someone who needs a lot of guidance and support.

Umm...no? I just watched with interest at how the club handled these situations. They supported our players as they should and Liam at least has paid off in spades. Rioli’s outcome is yet to be determined.

What you need to understand is that there are people in this world who just can’t be helped. I am happy for the club to decide if Stack fits in this category.

Right, that's exactly what I am saying aswell.

And with all credit to the club, they have handled those situations extremely well.

That should give them confidence in their ability to help support someone in Stack's situation, if, and big if, the club identifies there is the desire for Stack to step up, work on his issues and get on the straight and narrow.

Fully believe the situations with Ryan/Rioli embolden the club to back their culture in to be a positive force in the lives of folks who needs a bit of extra suppport.

Stack is far from a dead set certainty. But let's not completely write him off either.

There is nothing wrong with enquiring and having a chat and seeing where he is at and if he has the desire to turn the corner.

Go in with your eyes open, but also an open mind.

Sumich and Buddy imo were/are similar as in they could/can kick impossible long goals from nowhere but miss sitters.

Those epic left foot hook stylez

Purple would throw more money surely.

most likely he won’t leave richmond anyway.

They are delisting all their players who have been rascals.

I don't think they believe they could take the risk right now given how young their list is.

514 goals and 354 pts, Sumich got a bad rap, he was a better kick than he was/is given credit for. Ablett Snr at 1031 goals and 690 pts had a similar strike rate but no one ever calls him inaccurate.
He kicked 111.89 one year right? Imagine if he had peak Kennedy or Lecras accuracy that year

Buddys 100 goal season in 08 for Hawthorn he kicked 113.88 very similar.

If JK had 200 shots at goal in a season Id say he'd be more like 130.70

2016 he kicked 82.37. Imagine 200 shots with that accuracy

Yeah, Stack's form has been absolute rubbish. Clearly not coped with the current situation in regards to his training or prep. That's just as worrying about any future off-field incidents.

On top of questions about his character are other questions about whether he'll be able to work hard enough on the track to realise to his potential.

I'd imagine Tigers would part with him for nothing if someone paid part of his fine.

I remember he had 20 shots on goal one day, can't remember how many he kicked that day, 13 maybe?

Where did you hear about the B&F thing?
Pretty big story in Adelaide media despite Chris Dittmar continually saying he hasn't spoken out to upset anyone. Senior club officials/ 2 board members spilled the beans.

Last 5 rounds of 2012 were hidden votes type thing. Ebert was a shoe in.

GWS game Kane Cornes apparently played a shocker despite getting a bit of the ball, had 6 kicks go directly to GWS.

Ebert 26 disposals and a goal.

Dittmar asked then coach Primus about the above game, agreed on Cornes poor disposal, Ditts asked why he gave him top votes then, Primus said, no way, he didn't.

Second last game, Ebert 32 disposals & a goal

Last game 22 disposals, 3goals

Great season by both but the result is said to have been altered for financial reasons as Ebert had a clause/bonus in his first Port contract relating to B&F finish.

I know they wont but.... Hopefully the Roos can do us a favor tonight and trash Port Adelaide.

The port board is good reading. They are top of the ladder yet still want their coach sacked.

I'm barely interested in this game, let alone what one teams supporters think of said game.

In fact, if I wasn't 4 beers deep and hiding from my toddler who is in one helluva mood, I wouldn't have the game on at all.
