It would have been more impressive if you said Tex is going to disappear into a black hole after 2017 and reappear in 2021.That random comment in 2016 I made about Tex is starting to look good now.![]()
I prefer they dieThe scary thing for North is that they are a member based club and can't pass a major motion without 70% yes vote (or something). This means that if it comes down to relocate or die, they will probably choose to die.

Started watching North V The Doggies and turned off at 1/4 time..... not watching anymore of that sh*t.
Got pissed off watching North defenders play .......... kick to kick with each other.
Side note: Year after year , week after week - by **** the Doggies get an armchair ride from the snot rags.

A tasmanian club would be hard enough to manage, let alone an NT one. Realistically it's just not feasible.I've long been of the opinion that North Melbourne and Footscray should merge and then base themselves out of Ballarat on a similar model to how Geelong operate.
Similarly Melbourne and St Kilda to merge on the basis of their restricted bordering geographic catchments and supporting demographics.
Hawthorn should become the club of SE Melbourne/Dandenong/Mornington (a corridor that now has a population greater than Adelaide). It's ironic that Waverley was mothballed, as it would have been perfect if re-purposed as a modern boutique stadium. Ideally, somewhere like Greaves Reserve in Dandenong (situated adjacent to the Dandenong rail line and Eastlink Fwy) would be a great site for such a development.
That would leave central Melbourne with 5 clubs rather than 9, and 3 clubs (if you include Geelong) with established regional connections in some of the highest population growth corridors in the country.
It would also then facilitate the additions of novel Tasmanian and NT clubs into the league without exceeding 18 clubs in total, avoiding watering down the competition further.
Makes me happy seeing him do wellI won't lie, Tom Hickey looks good in Red and White.
Oh to be a fly on the wall in Dimmas half time team talk
