Surely you're not buying the "concussed" excuse?

Like Lyon said OTC, "he might've been concussed but he still knew which phones were his and Howe's :D

Well we don’t actually know that. He could have been handing him Pendlebury’s phone for all we know

I'm not buying anything, he was concussed...fact

All I stated was I'd use the same excuse to avoid a fine..you, me or gary lyon believing him is irrelevant

The AFL uses concussion to force players to miss games, to suspend players who cause it, to change the way the game is played and umpired..The AFL has consistently stated its a serious issue..Yet DeGoey can't use it as a valid excuse for touching his phone moments after receiving a heavy head knock ? lol

any half decent industrial relations lawyer or union rep would quash any possible sanctions using the AFL's own policies and protocols against them in a heart beat

Cwood getting a fine for leaving the box open is a different issue though

I don’t buy that. Isn’t there meant to be a property manager who is the only person with access to this case they’re kept in? Why was the case of phones open like it was to begin with?

Apparently, and behind paywalled article, Pendles is blaming WAs hard border. They guy with the phone key was left behind.

AFL have created new rules for phone management? Or, Pies players not clever enough to remember basics?

Well, the footage shows Howe looking at the phone and walking off with it.
It's not hard to assume it's his phone.

Howe was also not concussed, so unsure what Bucks reasoning is for him accepting his phone.

To be frank, this all boils down to the Pies believing they're big enough to do what they want. They have a culture of justifying and excusing behaviour instead of owning it.

Nathan Buckley is on the ropes, probably knows it's his last year, so he's just going to take all the bullets and protect the players through this season before he's replaced. It'll be his legacy to Collingwood.

Don’t have time to watch so just give me the high notes; how many cups of Powerade were knocked out of how many sets of hands?

LOL yeah I just assumed it was a montage of him hitting cups out of players hands.

So Collingwood had already been recently warned about their mobile phone usage by the AFL integrity unit prior to last week's game. They better get fined now.

Collingwood fined, Collingwood player suspended, Kelly not even looked at, Sheed kicked 3 goals in a minute, Oscar Allen with the new PB and ScoMo booed.

What a game.

Main board brothers
- I posted that I liked Perth Stadium being near full for Friday night's game finally after WA venues have been at 100% capacity for near two weeks. So that got the usual only West Coast scum would boo the prime minister like that responses and some of my good spirited posts and observations and home truths regards the opposition got deleted for trolling and it became a shambles as per usual.
So I posted basically the same thing on another site and overnight I got 47,000 likes and around 5,000 comments from all around the world with about 99% of them being positive. So now I am an influencer (woo ! lel). That main board is still my favourite though .It's so special.

Amazing the love pouring out for the Dees at the moment. Are most journalists actually supporters?
Brings back memories of my early days reading Bug Footy when Melbourne fans were raving about their superior list and how Jack Watts would lead them to the promised land.

Will make Garry Lyon's eventual and unavoidable heartbreak all the sweeter.
