Can't use him in the AFL is my understanding but, had to get special permission to play him in the SANFL, You know AFL back up.Why not just play Strachan? Is he injured again?
Therefore wouldn't it be smart to give Toby Murray more ruck exposure in the SANFL if the dreaded happened and we had to use a back up ruck in the AFL?I think he means in the reserves where Strachan is playing?

Also get a lot of kms into Toby’s legs right now! Therefore wouldn't it be smart to give Toby Murray more ruck exposure in the SANFL if the dreaded happened and we had to use a back up ruck in the AFL?
I meant in the SANFL - was it meant that Turray is now AFL backup? Can't use him in the AFL is my understanding but, had to get special permission to play him in the SANFL, You know AFL back up.
Well who else is AFL ruck depth with McAndrew injured and Strachan unavailable to play AFL?I meant in the SANFL - was it meant that Turray is now AFL backup?

Absolutely. Therefore wouldn't it be smart to give Toby Murray more ruck exposure in the SANFL if the dreaded happened and we had to use a back up ruck in the AFL?
So coaches votes are in for the last 2 rounds, opposing ruck scored 10s in both, whilst we were smashed in the midfield.
Hmm when did we give him that 3rd year again?
Back to back to finish the yearPretty funny how they were talking on commentary in the NM about how no opposition ruck had scored coaches votes against ROB this year - turns out one had 10 votes against him, and we just hadn't seen it yet!

Tex said it was his best year since his B&F. Coincidentally his first out of contract year too.
He was smashed though, for the opposition ruck to score 10s 2 weeks in a row and we got killed in the clearances is damming on ROB.Its definitely between the ears, although he was up against two pretty good ruckman the last two weeks.
Its his first final so hopefully thats enough of a kick up the ass for him.

We gave up 71 inside 50s because of those clearances, we can’t expect our defence to withstand that barrage.Meh. We smashed Collingwood in the clearances when we lost to them by 10. They smashed us in the clearances when we won by 3.
His head was off with the fairies (can I say that anymore) the last two weeks. It was what Cameron and Xerri did around the ground that got them the votes.
Hopefully he can turn it around to his form from the first 21 rounds. Has been pretty good this year.
Remember when there were suggestions ROB only tries when it suits him contractually? So coaches votes are in for the last 2 rounds, opposing ruck scored 10s in both, whilst we were smashed in the midfield.

This post highlights this weird parasocial thing going on where supporters of a football team think the players are their friends. They aren't our friends though. We don't need to like them, share common ground with them or agree with their world view. We just need ROB to succeed as a footballer and we're only obligated to support him in that context.Me: Strolls into this thread.
Sees some ppl criticize ROB for hanging out with (a clearly fascist) Alex Antic
Sees some ppl criticize those ppl who critized ROB
Thinks to self...are we all just cheering on Fascism these days?
It's a different world out there now.![]()

We are 18th clearances over the last month.
I get that but losing the clearances contributedThe inside 50 count was not just down to the clearances alone. It was also down to conceding repeat entries. We played a very defensive style of game with an extra in defence and Murphy tagging Daicos which made it very hard to move the ball forward from defensive 50.
I think the coaches would have reflected and realised that even though we won that probably isn’t a sustainable style of game. I doubt we see an inside 50 count that lopsided on Thursday even if we do lose the clearances as we likely will.
Definitely.I get that but losing the clearances contributed
