Any other team that started a season with 3 premierships KPDs (2 AA) and lost them all would be completely ****ed.

Freo love to park the bus, and they have quite a nice bus to park. Least points conceded. We struggle against a motorbike propped against the goal post.

Bloody remarkable we're still favourites but this game is a banana peel, IMO

Fremantle want to beat us badly.

Jesse Hogan hasn't been even mentioned this year, however, he has been selected the week where we lose Dylan Grimes with Rance and Astbury also absent from our established defensive line up, thos leaves us deep in a very defensive hole.

No matter who you are, what system you have in place, how can you cover the loss of 3x key position defenders that have played with one another for near a decade? We lost Rance Round 1 2019, Astbury Round 5 this year and Grimes last week, to most, it was Grimes who covered Rance's position, Broad/Vlastuin who covered Grimes and then Balta who took over Astbury's role even though the comparisons between Rance have been made.

Where does that leave us now? An imposing Balta, who will lockdown possibly Hogan, maybe Tabaner? Then they'll be Frederick, Fyfe and even Lobb who will absolutely try to stretch us for height. The Dockers have come into this making very good decisions at the selection table.

How do we win? Our midfielders and forwards need to bombard them with pressure. The focus specifically on preventing them from delivering the ball to Hogan as he leads, and what i suspect, a Dockers side that will bomb it up high, aiming for a Rory Lobb to simply outreach our smaller defenders, this is the Mason Cox plan.

We need Soldo/Nank to take turns in the ruck, however, the other, Nank is very good at this, needs to fill the gap in the defensive 50 and cut off lazy deliveries, i suspect they'll be kicking it high.

We may need Riewoldt to split from Lynch, play further up the ground and create contests on the wing more regularly, to allow the Soldo/Nank combo to support marking contests in defence.

Lynch is always best when he marks on a lead, like last week, lower the eyes, hit players up on leads. Don't alwsys aim for Lynch! We need to take our chances early, Fremantle are a young side, if you stack on the scoreboard pressure, they'll panic. If they're in with a sniff, anything can happen.

These last 3 games are absolutely massive for top 4, we must win them all, at the very least, we must beat Fremantle and Adelaide, this has danger game written all over it.

Let’s hope it reminds us of that game in W.A. in 2017.

If they park the bus we should just match them on it. If we can't score against that how is the second worst offensive team in the league going to go?

Our biggest problem in those dour games is the ball gets parked up our end, all the players compress, then one kick over the back and they're out.

We kinda do park the bus in that situation, but we pulled it up in the centre circle. Then kick sideways across the ground to switch to the open side, rather than run through the corridor with handball. It's becoming a familiar sight and pretty boring, IMO, compared to our usual method of moving the ball.

The only redeeming feature, and one of my favourite sights in football, is when those switches end in Dusty getting the ball on the left half forward flank, smashing through half a dozen oppo players and swinging around on the right...

Their talls will stretch our defense, this game is all about midfield dominance for us, we need to keep Fyfe relatively quiet.

I'd be expecting Nank & Soldo to push back in defense more to try and clog up their forward line.

We get enough quick entries into our forward 50 and we win but if we just hold it up and bomb it long I'm expecting another boring Sydney like game.

Grimes being out hurts.

A very reliable sweeper
