lol young Jack is going to get mentioned in almost every Nick thread after a few more good games... you've gotta love his attitude and talent!

Franklin's age is a factor, the extra 4 years is a huge bonus (if he stays in Vic). Actually I'd take Nick because he's a better player and more of complete player, he'd be a better influence on the youngsters and can teach the KPPs better on where to run, how to mark stronger etc.

He's in the top 5 players of the comp so no surprise there. It'd be great seeing Jack and Nick in the one team!

No, the biggest myth in football is how Hawthorne is going to dominate in the next 4 or 5 years

What about how Richmond were ready to storm up the ladder? Dumbass.

so why does age matter so much, its not a certainty that franklin will get to where nick riewoldt is at, in the next three to 4 years:D

:) the young riewoildt will be a superstar, far greater than franklin, however if tigers can change their losing ways he might just follow in his cousins footsteps to change to a winning mentality.
u see tigers sadly enough for ur lot, the hawks have proved the better prospect and will be premiers before u even win 6 games in a season.

So says the supporter of the team that will usurp the Tigers of the No.1 draft pick.:p

Riewoldt can take many more marks a match and rarely gets beaten by a defender. Franklin can get shut down bad. For eg. Franklin could only gather 1 mark against west coast (GLASS) and Riewoldt managed 8 (on GLASS for a little). Franklin had 2 marks against Adelaide, Riewoldt had 18. Riewoldt is much more consistent than Franklin.

Riewoldt has also proven himself in a forward line that consists of Gehrig, Hamill, Koschitzke etc. So he is not the no.1 target always. Unlike Franklin who gets constant delivery from his teammates.

2 points -

1. Much more traffic gets directed through big Nick than Buddy, so your last point is false.

2. How much is a mark worth on the scoreboard? Buddy kicks goals, so I don't care how many marks he takes, so long as he generates scoring opportunities.

Don't take this as an argument that Buddy is better, because I think Reiwoldt is a gun (one of my Fav non Hawks). I just think some of your points in highlighting Reiwoldt as your choice are either incorrect or irrelevant.

No actually ur the one being misled, check the facts riewoldt is the best for contested marks.
franklin doesnt compare there.
buddy is kicking goals as a result of boyle and williams out and injured, that is his job therefore.
nick is more a centre half forward and has the atergets of kosi and gehrig also to kick goals.

Shakes head at your inability to comprehend.

Of course Reiwoldt is a better mark, I never said he wasn't.

I said - How much are marks worth on the scoreboard? I don't care that Buddy doesn't take a lot of marks, I care that he kicks goals and by christ, he knows how to do that. Understand?

FWIW, I also think Reiwoldt is the better player (for now anyway). But some of the previous posters points were not correct and that's why I made comment.

The fact that Riewoldt is averaging more marks per game out of anyone for the past 20 years (Richo 2nd ;)) is irrelevant?

You Hawk supporters crack me up. There is much more to a player than just kicking goals, how can it be irrelevant that he takes the most marks per game out of ANYONE for 20 years including Wayne Carey? lol yeah let's just ignore that :o

Did you find most Hawk fans disagreeing with the notion that Reiwoldt is better right now?

Didn't think so. Instead, you chose to choose your words carefully and make comments such as "ther is much more toa player than just kicking goals".

Tell me again, for what reasons are contested marks so important for forwards?
