Riewoldt's Done A Hammy

Heard on SEN that he did a hammy this morning. anyone know any more? extent of the injury?

Hopefully it's just a regulation 2-3 week injury.

We'll know after the scan tomorrow but there's no reason to be alarmed at this stage.

I'm betting they won't risk Riewoldt if he has done a hammy and won't play him until Round 1.

If the performance of Sydney in recent preseason campaigns is anything to go by we'd be fielding a weakened squad and not taking the NAB Cup too seriously anyway. It's a chance for the young players to stake a claim for a spot in the side in round 1.

The most important thing is that Hayes, Maguire, Hamill and now Riewoldt continue their recovery without any pressure on them to return by a specific date.

yeah he'll be fine.. just as long as he recovers fully and his fitness isnt dramatically effected for the season

That's what I'd like to see.

I haven't got down to training but you wouldn't think he'd play a lot of senior footy next year. He does seem like an exciting prospect though.
