Even though I didn't have much intrest in his playing career, I have always respected the man. I chatted to him once... he was a great bloke, and it's terrbile to see what has transpired. He was a great media personality too, and I will miss his calls.

A massive shock to hear this morning and now Dwayne Russell just read out the media release of his passing on 3AW (don't know how Dwayne did that either, gusty effort).
Had a wonderful cricket career, and a tremendous influence on the Vic cricket team this year.

R.I.P hooksey, i didnt know much about him but i did listen to him on the radio a few times.
Very very sad way to end a life, the guy that did it is gutless, and even worse he comes from my area as well( he was from st albans wasnt he?) , well i hope he gets what he deserves.

I want to add, that the government better do something about the security industry. His passing cannot be in vain.
