I can assure you all that Dean Jones has just spoke on the Steve Price programe and he said the guys at 3AW just told him that Hookesy has passed away. Apparently there is no official confirmation yet and Price has just said "a clown" started a rumour earlier today when David was still on life support - he still could be.

Apparently it was one punch and Hookesy's head just thudded on the road and he never woke up. Darren Lehmann was involved in the altercation as well and was comforted by "Joe" the eye witness after the incident. "Joe" just relayed this story on Steve price's 2ue afternoon show. I guess we are getting all of this info on 2UE (sydney) because the incident happened in Vic.

May the bouncer rot in hell and David R.I.P

If he is alive still, then I would think he will stay alive for a good while, I'm no doc btw. Hospitals, doctors, nurses do amazing stuff these days.
As for the guy who allegedly decked him am I the only one who feels for him and his family. To throw one punch and kill a bloke he is one unlucky dude.

Had an idiot earlier ring Pricey up and say we should all stop and spare a thought for the bouncer's family - I'll leave it to your imagination how Steve reacted.

Price just said Boof was in a headlock and Hookesy came to break it up when the hero bouncer came in with king hit.

On the Ch 10 news, the bouncers Auntie said that he had never been involved in anything like this before, whilst on Ch 7 news, it was reported that the bouncer is due in court on a previous charge. Scumbag!!

I wanna know wtf that Magistrate is on, and how he could possibly justify releasing this deralict on bail. He should have been executed immediately.

Stuff the presumption of innocence!!

According to Derryn Hinch, even if Hookes dies (as now seems the case) he cannot be charged with anything other than assault. Apparently it is ue to the precedent of the "Wilson defence" in which unless it can be proven that the bouncer intended to kill Hookes, then it is only assault, also contributing to this is the idea that it was his head hitting the ground after the punch that did the most serious damage.

Utterly ludicrous I know, but apparently that is why he was only charged with assault and for that reason could not be refused bail.

According to Ian Chappell, Rob Cassell was the first to Hookesy and it was one punch that knocked him out with most of the damage done as his head hit the ground.

Doesn't sound like there will be a press conference, a statement was released saying his condition hasn't changed.
