Great effort
My only gripe is I don’t believe Johnson should have been subbed out
I reckon setterfield or Hobbs should have got the rest
How galling is it watching Hugh mccluggage.
I hate watching Bailey Humphrey for the same reason

Guelfi wasn’t great but he definitely wasn’t a passenger. He had a job on Zorko and he nullified much of his drive off HB.Well I sure as hell didn't expect that. I'm more than happy with that - a real show of effort. There were a few passengers like Guelf, Perkins ... Hobbs was very costly. But man I'm liking some of these kids, and that has to be Caddy's best overall game for us. Also nice to see Calders get back some of his pre-injury form too
I think he isn’t up to it.Tsatas had good moments too. I know I'll cop it for that but I saw it tonight. He will make it.
Roberts is a freak.
Kako just has to keep playing. Keep getting involved. Keep hunting. Goals will come.
Bloody vandals.rule interpretations is what ****ing annoys me.. Essendon player has ball knocked loose in a tackle and its holding the ball, happens to Lions and its play on. Happened at least 4 times (Neale x 2, Zorko x 1, Merret x 1)
Felt like setterfield, tsatas and a few senior players bit hesitant. Don't want to lose/get dropped whereas the youth just want to compete and seemed to have a license to play as long as each decision is done at 100%.6 posies in 18 minutes, 1 tackle 2 clearances. If he wasn’t a high pick he wouldn’t be an Essendon whipping boy.
umpires are there to oversee a game, not control the narrativeBloody vandals.
Bit harsh. Extrapolate that and it's 24 possessions, 4 tackles and 8 clearances which is not bad for a young midfielder.6 posies in 18 minutes, 1 tackle 2 clearances. If he wasn’t a high pick he wouldn’t be an Essendon whipping boy.
He had 6 touches in 18 mins, 2 clearances. At that rate he’s getting nearly 40 and 10. His ball winning is an elite trait. His handballing and vision is an elite trait. He can’t kick and sometimes can be defensively lost. He also made a tough tackle that should have been called htb.I think he isn’t up to it.
I would play him every week now but what is his trait at afl level.
I was pleased he showed vision and kicking ability to hit Robert’s in forward 50
You can’t judge him off that, he played 18 minutes, got 6 touches and 2 clearances, what did you want him to do?I want tsatas to be good. I really do. But duck me it’s not happening for the young fella
Yeah, it's hiding to nothing stuff coming on at that time. You can't judge him tonight.Should have subbed Tsatas on in the third for any of Gresh, Perk or Guelf.
Tsatas did ok I thought but impossible to impact with 15min to go.
started slow and looked a bit off but yes, agreed, composed himself and came into itJohnson seemed to show good composure in a backline under pressure all night long.
Definitely want to see him in next week, seemed to look a better balance with him there.
Excuse me father for I have sinned. Some posts I would have regretted early but didn't hit send cause went to the liquor cabinet instead. If you guys wrote melts for tonight you can still post them, I won't judge

Ridiculous. How many times did they take on the tackle and get stopped, lose the footy and that was ok, but as soon as we did it, that's holding the ball . Fking atrocious!umpires are there to oversee a game, not control the narrative
we played out of our skin and had an opportunity to take the game deep so no dramas in the loss, we lost. bit the frustrating thing is the interpreation of rules between zones (umpires)
