PROVE US WRONG, PALMER!

Real harsh on Griffin. Tough call though, what does he do when he's not rucking? Clarke at least is being tried as a midfielder.

Mellington to play as the substitute IMO.

Also Pavlich named at CHF tells me Palmer will play midfield.

Harsh on Griffin

Agreed. However, Griffin is a far better replacement option for Sandilands, than he is a back-up option. Clarke is the opposite, he's not ready to replace Sandilands in the 22, but he's a pretty versatile back-up option.

Really disapointed to see Griffen out, especially with Clarke staying in. It sucks for Grif to be pushed staright out when Sandi comes back after what has been an awsome effort IMHO.

I think it'd be a bit demoralising for him....hope Harves and Bondy handle it delicately.

Griffen has held his own, hasnt given us an advantage in the ruck.

Sandilands will.

With Bradley coming in, cant go too tall.

Guessing Harves sees more value in Clarke around the ground and forward of the centre.

Would have liked seeing Buca get another run. We've waited so long to see him show what he has and understandably didn't get much of an opportunity in a thrashing.

Would have kept him in over Roberton but overall excellent changes, Sandi, Bradley and Silvagni :thumbsu:

Hopefully Mellington actually debuts instead of being stuck as an emergency again.

Sandi & Griff together means 2 slugs in the side....Zac adds something different when relieving in ruck & around the ground. Bad luck Griff,....but he was always going to play 2nd fiddle to Sandi when he decided he wanted to play in Perth.

....& on Mellington - well done on his debut - just hope Harvey doesn't do what he did to Osso Buco & let the kid in his 1st game actually start the match! The sub role is not for 1st gamers imo....

How did I miss that Brisbane would be without Merrett? Did he not play last week?

Anything short of a 100 point masacre of Brisbane should be unacceptable to Freo fans. (50 if it's wet).

Pleased to see a cautious approach on Ballas if he was close.

There must only be the bits about being disembowled left in the Riot-Act book for Palmer.

Understudy to 211 must be the worst job in football.

Unlucky for Griffin. Bit tough on Bucovaz. Hard to gauge a player based on one game which was a hammering. Thought they'd at least give him a few games.

Glad to see Mellington get his chance this week though. Youngest player taken in last years draft apparently.

Matching up against Sandilands day after day turns you into a much better ruckman though. Playing at AFL level is like a walk in the park compared to training.
