I'm not with people here. Thought Taberner was quite impressive there tbh considering he's never played there since we drafted him. Shows he can play multiple positions which is fantastic going forward. Probably an out for next week certainly but the only way you can judge Taberner here is positively as 2-3 hours he may have not played defence in his life. Who knows he may have not even played there in juniors. He's an AFL quality KPP without being a star once he reaches his potential, but he's not ready to fulfil it yet.

And Ross said that they only told him this morning that he was back there on Nic Nat and Cox.

What's worrying is that this is probably completely without tongue in cheek. It's downright disturbing that someone who has posted here for almost 10 years would suggest something like this off the back of today's game.

I agree with clogged, yes he's leading inside 50's for the comp but do you really think that's a good thing for us? Pearce got a stack of it today but didn't do much with it, he also still treats the footy like a bar of soap.

Nah. I said it in the game day thread that today he just proved that he's not a defender but he's willing to give it a crack. I think he deserves another week in the side in a position he's comfortable playing in to see how much he's learned since the Bombers game (that was the last time he played i think)

It was mainly tongue in cheek. But I do not rate him that highly.

Yeah it's certainly reasonable but I think it's more to do with our midfield depth. I'm sure most coaches would have Hill in their top 2 for tagging/run with options so Pearce get's more time and space to find and use the ball. I think we all universally agreed when we picked him up that this was a good thing for this reason. Hilly is clearly a better user of the ball but the chance of Stephen Hill being pretty much let go as a free agent is zero and that's how we got Pearce.

And if not D.Pearce then who would you prefer burst running then delivering it inside 50?

Christ on a bike, one of our best kicks in Mundy nearly missed everything today when he burst from a pack and had a shot on goal. It's not that easy if you're going full tilt.
