I'll put 1k on Petrie getting off due to "fearing for his life"due to the choke Lake had on him.

Can he see the future? You're right, Petrie should have just allowed the choke.
No but there are other ways to break a choke, knee to balls etc, both should go for dog actsYou're right, Petrie should have just allowed the choke.
Hahaha, first play of the fourth quarter, there he is, faking for a free!Maybe...or maybe Selwood is better at disguising his intentions...
Unless North kick it.
Just showed it again from a different angle. Not only does Lake put him in a headlock after slamming him to the ground without the ball but clearly places a hand on his throat before Petrie reaches up. Lake goes for the throat a second time after work to the face.Wrong
eye gouge came first
F'n Gazza.Pity we couldn't hear what Hodge was saying then.
Yep, terrific player. But does enjoy the gutless snipe when he thinks he can get away with it.Dog effort by Hodge.
Yes they did. Alas they always seem to get the Hawks home when the chips are down.Got the cats home last Friday
I'm guessing we won't agree, but IMHO Selwood plans to do something with the ball and takes the free if it's offered. "Poppy" appears to plan on going for the free, and actually doing something as an afterthought.
Wasn't excusing Lake, just offering up what I saw that may have caused him to do that. You're right, Petrie should have just allowed the choke.
