If dewar isnt fit then bring in Chesser to be the sub.

Gross can stay in the wafl and get a run of form for a few weeks before reassessing where hes at imo.

No other changes needed I think.

Team played well overall, id be hesitant to make any big moves.

Chesser still travelling over the Nullarbor.

Brock & Edwards I think is OK against Cadman and Hogan. If they get decent ball movement it won’t matter who will be there. We have to really focus on defensive running from our midfield and trying to get control of the contest.

I’m honestly a bit more worried about Greene getting off the chain with Hough in midfield these days. Ginbey likely takes Riccardi or Brown.

I’m hoping to see Bazzo back soon as I genuinely think he ends up B22 long term but I’m not sure that is the matchups you want to expose them to up front. Happy he still keeps continuity in his football.

So barring injury, I’d almost be inclined to go no change. Hunt as sub I am happy keeping for another week.

Tragically, I'm not sure anyone has succeeded in playing the week after having been subbed out by McQualter.

If just one change then perhaps Gross earned a recall but plays sub, in for Cripps.

If two changes.. not sure I see it happening but Hunt and Cripps out for Gross and Champion. Champion sub.

If it's me, Hunt goes into the 22 Cripps out Petch to sub. Gross to get another full game in WAFL and travel to Port as the sub then full game the following week at home.

For the Stringer and Cadman v 1 Ginbey problem. I didn't think Brock was poor at all. My choice would be send Hough back to play on Stringer. Hunt to the wing Hutchinson into the guts. But we are not going to move Hough so send Shanahan to Cadman [boo!] and play Hutchinson the third tall forward. Or even Maric. Or just play Maric on Cadman and take the L if he's beaten.

After last night I now know why it took Bo Allen so long to debut, this guy has absolutely no right hand side. Its his Kryptonite and I now fully understand Minnies reluctance to play him.

Its kinda why wing is his role and will be long term. Many wingers play with 1 side only to them.

Hard to make too many changes after a strong performance where the team clicked so id just go with

IN : Dewar (Gross if Dewar not fit)
OUT : Hunt

Matchups appear a bit awkward height wise but in saying that we should be able to run off them and get them the other way. IMO we win this game for that reason. Its alot harder for talls at Optus at night time with the dewier conditions and we should be able to really run and gun from half back against the slower half forward line. Down in defense I think GWS dont look the same without Taylor. Teams have also come off byes in poorer form as well

To me this is a win. My money will go where my mouth is on this one

H. Edwards has been good lately, but I'm still concerned about his lack of pace. Hogan and Cadman would do him easily. I would bring in Dewar for Cripps. Chesser for Hunt. Bazzo for B. Williams for some security down back if Hogan gets off the chain.

Id prefer to play owies over cripps these days, he's lost his touch and he's to greedy as an on field leader. You know you'll get forward half pressure from owies which is almost non existent from cripps. Idk if champion is ready for a debut his performance has dropped off a bit at wafl level. Gross for the sub is the only sensible decision, the kid can't run out a game unlike clay hall. Hough too valuable in the midfield to play on green, either drop Allan to play cole on him or let him get loose on duggan or maric.

I think you’ll find the AFL only considers there’s one game - between two ‘traditional rivals’ and all important Victorian clubs.

And, will anyone be surprised that that game gets 90% of media attention?
