Collingwood [Adelaide] - After beating Port then failing to Essendon I think they will have the drive to get up. Carey, Roo and McLeod will fire. Pies just don't have them men even if they have the courage.

Melbourne [Kangaroos] - Last week they dominated. I think the confidence they carry will be enough. Melbourne have enough wins on the board to let one go - they're far from on the bottom.

[Fremantle] Brisbane - Brisbane are undermanned and Freo are on the charge, especially after their embaressing loss to the Hawks. Back at home, their own ground, their own crowd. I think this will be the shock of the round.

Geelong [Essendon] - Just too strong for Geelong. Starting to find some real form and their brute strength will end up overpowering the younger side. These two are sides have statistically had the worst of the umpiring this year.... will be interesting to see how the men in white go.

[Port Adelaide] Richmond - Port were through and through smashed last week. Embaressing. They are too good and too proud (even with injuries) to lose to a team like Richmond at home. Ultimately, covering Richo and Ottens will be the key. Do that and they win.

[Sydney] Hawthorn - Hawks were lucky to get over the line last week,.. had the umpires too for mine. Sydney have shown enough this year, Hawks haven't.

[Carlton] W. Bulldogs - I think Carlton are completely underrated at present. They are playing into some form and will continue to do so. I can still see them a smokey for finals.

[St Kilda] West Coast - Simply not going to tip against them (till the Essendon round) as I will statistically win more than I lose :p

Collingwood Adelaide:

This may be the week for the Pies. They can't loose every match and this week they would be out there to earn some respect. Pies by 1 goal.

Kangaroos Melbourne:

The Roo's will continue where they left off, on a winning streak, this time it will be under 4 goals

Brisbane Fremantle:

Despite their ommissions I think the Lions will be too good, even at Subiaco. Their midfield will beat the dockers midfield and it will all stem from there. Lions by 30 points

Essendon Geelong:

Will be the game of the round perhaps. Either side has been in good form but the Dons will get up in the end under 3 goals.

Port Richmond:

Port will be out to avenge their heavy loss and make sure this game is their turning point forward towards a finals berth, the tigers will put up a challange but Port will win by 24 pts.

Sydney Hawthorn

Swans forward line will proove headaches and will be too strong for the hawkas. Swans by 47 pts

Carlton Bulldogs:

Two battlers in seasons past. The Blues have shown more this year particularly in their new players and Fevola is on fire. Blues by 44pts

West Coast Saint Kilda:

I'm sticking my neck out and backing the boys to upset the invincibles of 2004. Last season the eagles beat both lions and pies on enemy territory. this will be the shock of the round with the eagles mounting a charge for the finals. Eagles by 10 pts

Interesting.... have you been tipping against the Saints much this year?

A 'shock' that's really going out on a limb. I take it your not a punter.

TAB Betting
Fremantle $1.65
Brisbane $2.10

Hawthorn often beat the swans through height and Everitt. At least we wont see Goodes trying to ruck against him: too short, and Doyle might at best negative his ruckwork.

But Sydneys season is on the line, they are at home, whereas Hawthorn are just trying to be competitive. You'd have to back the swans, but I wouldnt put 10c on it.

Whilst it may sound funny I think the shock of the round will be Brisband winning in Perth. I know I'll be on the odds at 2.65 below 39.5.

Despite the injuries and suspensions, I think it may force the lions to take a few more runners over, which may in the end help them out. Keating should be right to ruck again and as long as Bradshaw and Aker continue to bag goals, the rest will fall into place.

Sorry I am confused who you think the home team is. I am given to understand that the Bombres have effectively bought this home game off the Cats.

Please explain?
I think every time the 2 teams have met since the dome opened it has been there. Prior to that it was at the G. Ess & Gee haven't played in sleepy hollow since 1993.

Hahaha ... Geelong 3 wins from the last 4 games and Essendon 6 wins straight ... yeah ... bad form that! :o

Nope. Cats home game, played at the Dome, and the only Cats happy about that would be the accountants.

It's been happening for a decade or more, and is a result of the perception that you're better off with a smaller chance of winning and a bigger bank balance than vice versa.
