Rumour Rumors of cat player in big trouble

I haven’t seen the victim’s name mentioned but then again I’m not actively going out to find any details of the situation too

The victims name isn't posted. The alleged perpetrator's name is.

The law protects victims as a side effect of protecting the accused. And I do think this is the lesser of two evils.

by naming him you help the victim being identified through associations ..that’s a very broad interpretation of the reason for the suppression order . But I’m sure learned legal minds could elaborate and explain it better than what I can as to why it is granted in some cases.

In any case I’m suprised you are able to post here with your multiple breaches on the subject personally

If your sauce comes in a tube I feel like you might be doing it wrong.
But the real question is, does it go in the fridge or the pantry?

With the demands for transparency, I think we largely ignore that Big Footy posters aren't the norm and that the suppression order and injury reports have - largely - been effective.

I reckon if I went into the lunch room of my office and asked people (firstly) if they follow the AFL and then (if the answer to the first question was 'yes') ask them if they know why <<player>> is currently not playing in the AFL side, 80%+ would have NFI.

No suppression order/media circus, that figure is turned on its head.

I think the point some are making with the injury list is valid In isolation.
But it tarnishes and puts into question the next player that has a legitimate injury listed the same.
Would agree if this was more of an isolated incident but generally speaking injury lists have been used to hide other issues for decades

This one particular example is just another example so hardly worth using as the breaking point or make an argument that the injury lists are being manipulated

Jed Bews is also on the cats injury list with a finger injury, I don't think anyone out there is questioning it....

On motorola edge 30 pro using BigFooty.com mobile app
He has a timeframe listed though, that's the difference. For a finger injury to be listed as TBC is not normal especially when he has apparently already had surgery. A finger injury is quite clear cut in the return timeframe, especially after having surgery.

The complaining about the injury list stuff is a bit much. Absolute rock and a hard place for the club. They're basically forced to lie by the lack of any other alternative that doesn't compromise the legal ethics and consequences at play.

let me spell it out......theres no need to list him as injured..........none.........zero and for the ones that say oh yeah but what if he is, sure you believe that and then what happens when its better? bet hes still listed as injured

If they don't list him as injured the rumour mill goes from a 3 to an 11. Then there is so much media speculation, not to mention rampant misinformation from all the knowsabloke types on social media, that the player's lawyer is able to go to court and claim that he can't possibly have a fair jury trial, and he walks, or even worse, people start locating/harrassing/intimidating/spreading false information about the victim.

I'd rather ensure a just legal outcome, even if it means weird online nerds get in a tizzy about the integrity of a bloody injury list.
