Rumour Rumors of cat player in big trouble

Your original comment was "the establishment Geelong/media".

What's the "establishment Geelong" :$

wasnt your ex ceo or whatever responsible for the cotton on free farms extravaganza audit in his new role at AFL house?

That'd probably count. I mean if it's true. I only read your comment so **** knows if it makes sense in the context to whatever you were replying to.

I'm guessing the above is meant to be English

Simon Kelleher, the one appointed by the AFL to conduct the audit worked at Geelong for 6.5 years firstly as the CFO & then COO, and that's after spending 3 years as the CFO at Carlton

When Kelleher left Geelong it wasn't exactly on the best of terms as had been informed by the current CEO that he wasn't seen as the next CEO - it's at that stage he opted to move on to the AFL in a newly created role

Considering that the guy who replaced him as the COO at Geelong is seen as the next CEO, and that was the key contact at the club for the audit - wouldn't it actually stand that Kelleher could easily have felt he had a point to prove and all the more reason to find something more questionable in the books than a misreported car to an AFLW player...

I was asking what they meant by establishment Geelong as in another post they backtracked saying they only meant media.

Tiger fans seem to think the AFL is run by Geelong.

I imagine the Harley appointment is sending them into the abyss even further.

It's almost impossible to put the puzzle pieces together, you can't even say it's the player WITHOUT a COTTON ON franchise. When every listed player, head coach, line coach, water boy, water girl, equipment manager, cheer squad leader and janitor all have one!
meanwhile, The Dingley Doves got Waverley for $1 and sold it for $10m.

Talk about corruption.

So he definitely knows a thing or two about dodgy finances

It is run by Geelong, though.

We need to start embracing the fact <3

That's the first of the Harley appointments too, the second Harley appointment will be even better:

Only just realised he isnt even on the injiury list anymore.

Id love somene in the media to ask for a update on where he is and when he will play next just for the look on Scotts face also

You're late to the party

Was last on the injury list 7 weeks ago when he was listed as unavailable and removed from it the next week - since then he's been training at the club

But what exactly do you expect to be achieved by the media asking such a stupid question for which they'd have been instructed to not ask, and doing so would risk them no longer being given access for any future AFL press conferences?

Besides, Scott would keep a straight face and play a straight bat to such a stupid question, "Player X is currently unavailable for selection. Next..."

Thankfully journalists, even AFL ones, are smarter than that.

They know there's a suppression order in place and they're not about to upset the AFL and the Victorian legal fraternity by asking a stupid 'gotcha'.

There's a non-zero chance they'd invite legal troubles and a strong possibility they'd be stripped of accrediation by the AFL.

what happened to Atkins court case by the way? not trying to stir up if nothing happened thats fine

cats_09 should get a pay rise from Chief for politely, yet passive-aggressively shutting down all the uneducated, disrespectful nongs on this site.

what happened to Atkins court case by the way? not trying to stir up if nothing happened thats fine

As per the newspaper article:

- Atkins must write two letters of apology to others caught in the crash and pay one of them more than $8000.

- Atkins accepted responsibility for the crash, but won’t face a criminal record after Magistrate Ann McGarvie approved him for a diversion.

- Ms McGarvie said Atkins was a “suitable candidate for a diversion away from the criminal justice system”.

- “(This is) given that Mr Atkins has got no priors and both of the people affected by the car accident wrote in favour of him having a diversion, as long as he learned from this event,” Ms McGarvie said.
“He certainly has, your honour,” Mr Dann told the court, noting that Atkins had pre-emptively completed one of the conditions of the diversion – a road trauma awareness course – before he had even been charged.

I would ask the Geelong FC why Tanner Bruhn was on their injury list when it was highly unlikely that his case would be resolved by the time his injured finger healed?

It now seems to me that this case hasn't gone the way the Geelong FC thought it was going to go because of the work the club had put in behind the scenes.

It is amazing that almost all of these 'just asking questions' are easily answered with a simple google search. :rolleyesv1:
They really need to lift their standards of trolling. Poor, unimaginative, lazy efforts.

I can’t stand Geelong as much as the next person but I can’t see they’ve done anything wrong here. What part of suppression order do oppo supporters not understand? Yes it is very convenient for Geelong that the court has in its wisdom made that order but we all have to abide by it.

As was pointed out the media are not going to risk their accreditation or jobs by talking about it.

So what if Geelong listed him as injured? He was initially anyway so what’s the big deal? I don’t know why people keep on about it, I get embarrassed when fellow Richmond fans persist with it. Just stop, its cringeworthy.

We will find out all about it in due course.
