Heard a rumour that you have made a significant offer to Sydney about Heath Grundy.

1st round pick + 2nd round pick, was what I heard.

Thanks for passing it along. Will look into it. Wouldn't surprise me if we were hot for Grundy as he is the type that we do need.

Not sure the price is right but he's a ready made KPD who can swing forward. Having that ability is something that Ratten enjoys doing when in a position that warrants it.

Is he out of contract?

It would effectively mean our first 3 picks are inactive and I can't see that happening.

It all depends if other Clubs bid for him.

If not, we could use our 2nd or 3rd Rnd pick on Dylan.

Not sure of the rules as to which pick we can use for him if no other Club puts in a bid.

Grundy would be an enormous get. Would make a great duo with Jammo as the two KP backs. Given our first pick is likely around 22, that and another pick would be about right. He is a gun. Hopefully this rumour is true!

Yes, but they take the risk if they over pay that we wont take him. It wont happen. We will need to use our 2nd rounder for him im thinking if not our third no more.

Pretty much yep.

Say the Dogs for instance like him and they offer their 1st rd pick we must then give our 1st rd pick for him and he is ours regardless of 1st Rd draft order as we cannot give a pick we do not have have for instance.

IF no club offers a 1st Rd pick for him we do not have to take Dylan in the first Rd but like you mentioned other clubs can force our hand if they want him early making us use our 1st pick.

From all reports Dylan has been touted as a sure fire 1st Rd pick so i doubt we will be able to get him after this but i am still hopeful.
