Incorrect. Caddy won't be commanding big dollars and if he has his heart set on Collingwood, which I doubt, he would be well aware that he cannot get the same $$$$ he is likely to get elsewhere.

Cloke scenario has no bearing on any Caddy situation. Cloke will be here next season and beyond.

Why do you doubt that? Wheatley is a Jurno that most times Correct. You are right it's not Confirmed but you can't ignore who came out with it

If the rumour is true then Collingwood must know Cloke is gone and that they will recieve compensation picks otherwise why bother trying with such a tight salary cap and only a late first round draft pick to offer.

not at all... all that the rumour said was caddy WANTS to go to collingwood.. it says nothing about collingwood seriouslly going after him. Im sure collingwood has enquired about him, as nearly every team would of.

Caddy said he wanted to go to essendon 12 months ago as thats who he grew up supporting.. not sure why that would change 12 months later?

What position do you play?

If you're a ruckman, then hold out because they'll have no choice but to give you what you want.

LOL are Collingwood rumoured to be chasing any out of contract ruckman so far this year? Maybe Giles, isnt he rumoured to be on the move. Seaby would be available, wouldnt cost much and would be an improvement on Wood. Yes i realise that isnt much of an endorsement but i think he would be a good backup for Jolly since its unlikely Wood or Witts will be ready next year to play in finals.

Wrong.

Caddy and his family were absolute North tragics.

Caddy wanted to play under Hird, apparently.

I'd be really surprised if you guys traded Brown, especially with Tarrant retiring, and Keefe coming back from a long injury next year.

You are Correct about that collingwood about Chasing Him but we would have had to Talk with Caddy though about Joining us and we would have Plans of Trying to get him in a Trade.

It might not Happen and Hey the Story been Reported has not Been Confirmed by Anyone yet

A first rounder may open up if there is a club that wants Wellingham.
I'd really prefer us chase someone with leg speed who can kick rather than Caddy. No doubt he can find the footy and will be a very good player, but I think that this might be more of a need.

No way do I want to trade Brown for him. We need him unless we are trying to get another key backman.

A trade I am thinking of if we wanted to do this deal would be Wellingham to Adelaide, Tippet to the GC and Caddy to Collingwood. Some draft picks to be used in the deal by both teams. I doubt the Crows will be too pleased with getting Sharrod as a replacement for Tippet.

Trent McKenzie oh my god imagine him soaring out of our backline with his foot amazing

Crows would want a Tad more than Just Wellingham

Haven't seen much of him bar those clips provided by TD.

Didn't look to have great disposal when winning the ball. I think that's at a premium for us. That said, haven't big enough sample to judge from.

Swan will be gone in two years so definitely need to bring in a top-class ball winner. J Thomas may be that, but that's all speculation at the top level. Anyway, wiser heads like Hine and Rendell will know what's best.

Agree with the Bolded. Just have to wait and see what Un-Folds

Swanny is a funny one. Would love to have him sign on for another 2 years after this contract and play as a permanent half forward running the legs off his opponent and only occasionally pinch hitting in the middle. Problem is that all of his mates will be gone (Taz, Johnno, Dids...does he have any others?)

Well they don't get much of a say as Tippet is out of contract and he could put a price on his head and go to GC with pick 2 in the pre season draft.

I agree though they would want a bit more than just Wellingham, maybe GC give them a 2nd rounder. So Pies would get Caddy, Adelaide- Wellingham and GC's 2nd rounder and GC get their man Tippet. It all depends on how much the Suns are willing to pay for Tippet and how much they want him. I think that deal could be pretty fair.

We have enough outside players and having in and under players isn't our great strength. We do have Ball and Beams but I would love Beams to play more of an outside role as he is very damaging and Caddy can help out Ball. From what I have seen he is likely to develop into a gun and has shown glimpses of a freak in the past two years like for example he can kick 60 meters of one step at goal. Playing with our midfield could make him a gun.

Like I said though, I would not give any key position players for him.

Another thing I like the little bit of Caddy I seen that he will run thru a Brick Wall

So what's the deal with Goldsack? Has he signed yet?? I keep forgetting who signed over the last 2 months

Nope he has not and said on gameday live there has been minimal talk but he will most likely sign.

Leon Davis back next year..
Been talked in to it by Krak and Jonno.. kept fit in the WAFL had time to rest his body and get his head straightened out and ready to go around again.
keep an ear out over coming weeks..

that would be interesting if his been dominating in the WAFL. we would be a far better team if neon leon came back to us and played close to his best... seems a long shot though

Nah we still have other like Krakouer, Johnson, Ball and MaCaffer.

As TD states Ball re-signed, but forgot about those you mention.

I'd say we definitely require Krakouer, but a worry if Peter Jess still the manager. Johnson could definitely go around again, but depends how he feels. Cafe society might get another year, but wouldn't expect his retention would have much impact on the cap.

The players who can relieve cap pressure for us are Wood, Harry, Wellers and Goldbors. I think the last 3 definitely want to stay. Whether the club has the same view, especially on the last two is to be seen.

Wellers has been the worry for me this year, he still hasn't found that consistancy required for a top line AFL player. The club may feel that if they are going to trade for something good Wellers is the obvious choice.
