If we are trading two of our first rounders, then we better be getting something bloody good or else we have ****ed up.

We are basically trading Dawes and Wellingham away here for something, so it better be bloody good.

the only thing they could do would be put tippet on a massively front ended contract and then it may work.

Oh god I hope we don't waste 2 first rounders on Tippett.
He's vastly overrated, unless he produces the same level of performance as he did in the semi final.

not really, the money that wellingham and dawes were on has been given to lynch and young. Pick 19 and 21 are the extra's.

If hine looks and sees the real A+ talent will be gone by picks 19 and 21 (garlett stringer ect) then it could be a very good idea to trade up.
 
I can't imagine a club would give a top 10 pick for 2 late first rounders so it would have to be a pick 13 or so surely?

Agree, Luke Parker is a really exciting prospect I reckon.

I've just been bit out of the loop last few days, is he unahappy at Swans, out of contract, wants to come to Melbourne, on the outer - or is it just that Swans may need another lowish draft pick to help them get Tippett and we have three lowish picks and Parker is preceived as the most likely to be traded???

ie where's the talk coming from that people think he may possibly come to us.

Can't believe the Swannies would allow him to go, that's all.
 
He was outside their starting line up for the grand final, yeah? Sub? Obviously has future 'potential' but 2 first rounders?

Think was Mentioned 1st to be in the Tippett trade so we might become a 3rd Team in that Trade IF whispers are true

Would Adelaide not want him? How would we afford him if we have already offloaded some salary cap for Lynch and Young? So many questions...

he is a 19 year old who hasn't played much footy, he'd come pretty cheap salary cap wise

Not so much of a case of him not being good enough for adelaide but of sydney not offering him up. From our source we've put up 23 and JW and left it there. So who knows what is going on, can only go on what we've been told reall and this:

Luke Parker 20 year old premiership player with Collingwood as substitute......the kid will retire at 21 with 2 premiership medals and a combiner GF game time of 30 minutes!

Can see why the Pies would want Reid, but not why Syd would want to trade him given Goodes age.
