Let me get this straight.
ND privately strikes an agreement with the Bombers LG to allow them to serve their penalties in missed games in a staggered fashion over the final 2 rounds of the season, ostensibly to avoid having to apply the maximum penalty for not having enough eligible players to cobble together a team and completely ignoring section 5 of the Rules.
ND does not put this decision to a Committee vote.
The Bombers currently sit on top of the SFA ladder.

What does forfeiting the match mean in terms of percentage etc., out of interest?

Well, it would have no impact.

Also, it shouldn't be a forfeit. Why should the Wonders be rewarded with a free win just because their opponent for the week lost the plot?

Play the game as normal, just penalise the Bomber 4 points if they fail to recruit enough players.

On the contrary, Rule 6D gives a score advantage to a team in a finals match if one team "lost the plot".

I want to play this Sunday. And any punishment for the Bombers needs to be properly communicated and thought of. I would support the penalty extending into future seasons if I'm to be honest.

Say it's the last round of the season and the Bombers act like this, can't field a valid team and they're last on the ladder. What good does knocking 4 points off them do? There needs to be a consideration to give penalties when there's severe breaches of the rules like this that extend into future seasons.

Bombers should be starting Season 34 on negative points.

Yep four points would have been put somewhere if there was a match. Four points are still to be put somewhere if there is no match. None of the other 10 clubs had a say in where these four points went prior. None of the other 10 clubs should have a say in where they went after. That's why forfeits result in 4 points being awarded to the opponent. If they are not, then the innocent opponent is also penalised, and 10 clubs are given an advantage they did nothing to earn.

Apologies to any footy fans who actually follow aussie rules and not just the AFL entertainment universe franchise, as they will already be fully aware of this.

Surely East Side should be awarded the points for the travesty game just completed and the Bombers docked.

serial_thrilla has been broadly hinting the Bombers had already been playing an ineligible player. NaturalDisaster has not enjoyed a good week. He can help restore some lustre by getting to the bottom of this claim as well as looking at other penalties for the Bombers.

Pugsley was already cruelly docked. (there is a pug tail recipe which I have refused to cook)

As for the other 'docking', many of the currently exiled Bombers notably type in falsetto.

With the Bombers' rep in the cooler they will need a strong advocate brought in. In news that will send shivers down the spines of those who witnessed his best and extensive work at the Cttee before, WaynesWorld19 may take up the cudgels.

Alright,

So here is what happened.

• A bunch of Bomber players were banhammered two days before the teamsheet deadline.
• As it was unprecedented I told them they could serve their suspensions seperately. I might not have communicated clearly enough, but the expectation was they use all possible reserves. They failed to do this.
• After the teamsheet deadline, more Bombers were banned.

As such I have decided to give them a penalty of 2 points for having an ineligible player on field when they had an eligible player in reserves.

They also have until deadline to sign fill in players until they have enough suspended players back to fill a squad, or else they will be docked further points.

Ljp86, please give the Bombers a 2 point penalty.
