welcome

Welcome to the club Aints fan's. Instead of being called a rabble you will know be told you aren't that good, you only got their cos of failure ie draft picks. All under bull****. You won cos you were in front when the siren went pretty simple.

To listen to this **** about failure giving you pilcs from Lion fans makes me laught, where did half their players come from again? Didn't they finish last in the year Northey got the arse despite what everyone thought was a very talented list?

It takes balls to got back to go backwards to go forwards when there are simplier options available. I am not convinced but I will not detract from a good win.

Allan Murray, Steven Milne, Matt Maguire, Robert Harvey, Nathan Burke, Stephen Powell, Brett Voss, Justin Peckett, Brett Moyle, Steve Lawrence, Luke Penny, Aaron Hamill, Troy Schwarze, Steven Baker?

Where did we take these guys in the National Draft?

Stephen Powell, Brett Voss, Luke Penny, Aaron Hamill.

Cha-ching$$$$?

I hear they're firing up the Moorabbin disco again tonight. And Cornflakes has given the players till Thursday to turn up to training. Personally I think they will be lucky to show up until Saturday.

Burkey and Harvey are promising to show the younger guys what lockers are really for.

It's not St.Kilda's fault that they take talent like Stephen Powell (another top game) , from clubs that can't manage their own affairs.
Yeah Melbourne made a mess of the situation. The Woewodin issue was another mess that the football department got into. Melbourne have been very average in this area.

A trained monkey could coach St Kilda at the moment. The players are so talented that it makes the coaching role at St.Kilda null and void.

Meaning you could coach the Saints? Nah! Thanks anyway!
Earn your respect? HA HA!

Simply pointing out that they were not discards from their previous clubs as was being mischievously suggested.

No tool, it was asking where these players, amongst the others were picked up in the national draft. None of them were.

This has been the funniest thread on Bigfooty for ages.

Softc@ck racist _Dudd spewing his usual hate filled bile. Oh you must have hated seeing the Saints knock off Brisbane you pathetic piece of excretement. Can imagine you kicking your dog as you watch the Saints win. How did the Weagles go against the bottom side today, fluked a draw. Ha great effort.

Footyman and Irish - cry me a river and only one thing to say to you

Saints beat the schoolyard bullies at their own game and THEY don't like it!

Could you please quickly go to c. to express your opinions?

Hey Mr. Dudd, your team could only manage a draw with the poor old Bulldogs at YOUR fortress Subi. I'm trying to think what your reaction would be to a similar Saints loss....

hahahahahahahahahahahahaha etc.etc. ad infinitum

St.Kilda were missing more players than Brisbane.

I don't think so, mate.

At any rate, you have to look at things in a qualitative manner, not just quantitative.

With that said, St.Kilda did well to beat the quality of team that we still managed to put out there on the night. Considering who we still had in the side, I thought our performance was particularly disappointing, and the Saints ran rings around us in the second quarter.

Just get over it. Cornflakes outcoached Lethal. Remember that.

Oh really?! Care to explain how, exactly?

From where I saw the game, I actually thought that it was the players themselves who put in the hard-yards to win the game.

I wouldn't have necessarily said that the St.Kilda coaching was either good or bad, and it certainly wasn't a "major" factor in winning the game in the terms that you make it out to be.

When was this?

I take it, that even if this did occurr, that it wasn't the reason he left the ground in the last quarter (as you are inferring).

It was a good win by St. Kilda, the name of the thread almost made me want to do it. But the civilised part of me decided to say well done. Hope you guys enjoy the win, because I don't think you'd be able to do it again. But you never know, the Bulldogs drew with West Coast and screwed my tipping up even more!

I should of tipped St. Kilda, even though if I did, they would probably have lost anyway

Gee Stocka,

You're really taking this one hard aren't you?

No, not really at all, mate, even though you'd probably like to think so. What makes you say that anyway?

I don't mind the Saints at all, as my posts of a few weeks back would attest to, and I didn't mind losing the game last night either.

The point I make though is, that Knobel left the ground, apparently due to hitting his head on the turf after a ruck contest. Someone intimated earlier that he in fact left due to "having his head taken off by a Brisbane sniper", to which I questioned whether or not that was really the case at all.

Considering you only replied with the above, I'm assuming that you have no answer to my earlier question regarding the incident, then???

I wouldn't call your posts trolling - I do believe you're above that - but you seem to be rather adament that the Saints, and their coaching staff, must be left bereft of any kudos.

My reply had nothing to do with the question being answered?

Forget it Stocka.

Mate, it appears that Lennyfan thinks Brisbane "snippers" inhabit subterranean strongholds just beneath the turf (sorry, sand) at Telstra Stadium.

There they lurk, just waiting for some poor unsuspecting opposition ruckman to get his head anywhere near ground level......and bang....they plunge their clench fists upward through the grass to inflict maximun damage to the head area.

Rotten bastards
;)

Not at all mate. I just wouldn't have gone to the extent of saying that Matthews was "outcoached" last night.

Thomas's coaching wasn't really an issue for me last night. The team looked like it was playing to its strengths, so that is the main thing - that's what you want to see in a coach. Thomas is finding his grounding with the squad and that is going to be the crucial factor in deciding whether or not the team will achieve under his leadership.

However, I don't really think the game was won, on the basis of spectucular coaching moves on the night, nor in terms of one coach beating the other based on tactics or positional moves.

The factor, IMO, which won the game, was basically the fact that the Saints players themselves played very well and backed themselves, and their team-mates all night. Hamill lead the team brilliantly (assisted by a number of others), and numerous players stood up and played a role at different times of the game.
