Blame your fellow Saints supporter. The way the thread started, it was just pleading for trolls to take a shot.

And seriously I'd wait atleast until youre in the 8 before getting too ****y.

that was the whole point...

I think the true test is next week to see if we can back it up against port. If we can beat 2 top sides in a row then we can brag a little. However, only the team that wins the flag can truly brag

Yeah...and in hindsight it was pretty stupid. Youre getting reamed.

like i care what you think... maybe your hind is stupid.. tell me what the @#@ do i care..??..

I'm sick and tired of people laying the boot into the saints and frankly i don't care to take the ***** anymore.. let the saints do the talking and walking on and off the field this year and the years to come and @#$@ you all for all the bull**** you've given us over the years...

it would be the easy option and the 'loser' option to abandon the saints as a supporter over the years but it takes courage and strength through loyalty to stick it out and no matter what, be a proud sainter..

Thats fair enough mate, but we should be used to copping some flak by now. In all fairness, over the last few years we have deserved it due to our on field performance. But from inside the club we can see that things are changing, both on and off the field. It was a great win against Brisbane, and all of us Saints fans should be very proud of our teams effort. However, we can't hang our hat on one win. We have now set the standard for the rest of our season, and if we continually play with that type of intensity and hard work then we will begin to earn some respect. It will take a lot of more than a win against the Lions to earn the respect of the football public, but we are taking big steps in the right direction. Consistency is now the key. There really is no point in starting threads like this, it only draws attention to our club and incites some of the cynical idiots on this site who enjoy bagging the Saints. The only way to shut them up is to play consistently good football and take part in the finals.

Try taking part in the finals for 5 years + in a row. None of this flash in the pan stuff like 1997... you get the feeling Saints Supporters are still living off 1997... and those who were born still talk about 1966 like it was yesterday. Saints supporters get excited about 1 win.... no wonder the club is so mediocre.... because if the supporters accept it. I still know Saints supporters who think Aussie Jones is one of their best players. He hasn't done anything for 6 years but as soon as he gets more than 10 kicks in a game its "Aussie's back!".

But there will always be some you just cant shutup, people with chips on thier shoulders instead of brains,,like Chris Judd. They exist in thier murky little worlds just waiting to hang Sh%t on someone about anything.
Calling us arrogant for instance, where the hell does someone dig that up from??

Im pleasantly happy with the way the Saints are progressing and if someone is having problems with that , it will be thier problems.

How many top 20 draft picks did St Kilda have playing last night?

If everyone had draft picks like that year after year they would be up there as well.

4- that's Hayes, Riewoldt, Goddard & Clarke.

It's not St.Kilda's fault that they take talent like Stephen Powell (another top game) , from clubs that can't manage their own affairs.

Glad to see you're sorry.

Keep apologising.

Ok.. I am sorry that when you were born your parents were probably St Kilda supporters and brainwashed you into supporting them from birth.... and you have had to endure nothing but 20 years of pain and agony watching your joke of a club be the laughing stock of the sporting world. For that I am truly sorry.

dear sainters get over yourselves, a win against a half strengh lions team with no bench after half time . look in your hearts and not your one eyed selves, yes the umpires as well carried you to victory and last night was no great achievment. look you arnt even in the 8 !!
before you lot get tired telling the world how good you are try winning enough games to make the finals and try the lions at full strengh and we will see just how good you are !!! i fear it wont happen but you lot can dream !!

Bitter.

We won without a ruckman, a full forward & a full back.

So stick that up your arse sideways.

Missing from our lineup:

Andrew Thompson, Max Hudghton, Luke Ball, Justin Koschitzke, Nick Dal Santo & during the game Aaron Hamill, Trent Knobel & Luke Penny. Handy list of players that.

Don't see d. " public internet board for spewing abusive and vitriolic garbage at all and sundry" amongst your definitions there CJ.

So why don't you apply one or more of the definitions you listed to your own style, instead of behaving like a nasty little pratt all the time?

Everyone saying the umpires got St Kilda over the line obviously didn't see the match. I was there, and the umping was Brisbanes way for 3/4 of the match. Milne should have kicked 3 goals, but he was robbed of one for a very ridiculous reason. The ump also gave Brisbane several shots at goal in the first quater. I think I've said this before, but maybe some need to hear it again, or go buy a tape of the match, because no way did the ump win the game for us!
Secondly, unless you barrack for Sydney, you can't say you've beaten the Lions this season. And, unless you barrack for North Melbourne, no one else has even gotten close. Every team has a list of players to use at thier will - if Brisbane had some key players out, that's unfortunate, but that's footy. St Kilda, remember, was without Thompson, Hudgeton and Kozzi, and we lost Penny and Knobel during the game, and Sammy was injured as well.
So keep making excuses, if you must. We won and that's all there is to it.

ROTFLMAO!!!

Did you even watch the game?

St.Kilda were missing more players than Brisbane. Just get over it. Cornflakes outcoached Lethal. Remember that.

Result: St.Kilda win.

Do people actually read what is written, or are they off in their own dreamland??

As many have posted, we had penny gone during the second half, knoble nearly got his head ripped off by a brisbane snipper, hamill was in a lot of pain.

But back onto an earlier subject. I have given you a day CJ. Actually put some meat to your posts, tell us some examples on where the umpires helped brisbane?

I gave you a blatent case of where the umpiring cost us a goal, yet I haven't even seen the game on reply so its hard to note other frees. Come to the party CJ, or people will continue to brand you a gutter talker with no brains.

Anyone want to bet that Chris Judd never replies with anything sensible?

Diddums

Poor little Lions supporter, cracked the sh*ts after one loss. Don't get all worked up, you have won the last two premierships and are still the best team in the comp, but you were beaten by a better St.Kilda side on the night. Stop being such a sore loser, most of your fellow supporters seem to handle it pretty well.

Yes you were missing some good players, and yes you didn't have an interchange bench after half time, and it was a great effort to come back like you did in that last quarter. But, as some of my fellow Saints fans have mentioned, we weren't exactly at full strength either. We have many top quality players who are still to return to our side. And please don't isolate the umpires as an excuse for falling short in the last quarter, because for the first 3 quarters of the match you got a few handy decisions thrown your way. St.Kilda earnt that win.

It was a great effort by the Saints, and I think we have every right to be happy and proud of our team's effort, but we are by no means suggesting that we are out of the woods yet. We still have a long way to go in terms of earning respect, but there is no better way to start that quest than beating the best team in the competition.

Knobel got knocked out at the first bounce of the last quarter. He was doing very well in the ruck before this incident, and his injury left the 190cm Maguire to carry the ruck load for the rest of the match. Penny also done his knee late in the third I think, which was a huge blow considering he held Lynch fairly quiet for most of the match. Hamill had a foot problem and was also on the bench. Both teams were struck very hard with injury throughout the match to key players.
