Turner and Cheesman appear on the second named team for today's internal trial.

Any info on these two guys?
Cheesman a midfielder who played 2 games last year.

Aiden Turner - Forward/Mid from Moonta.

Anthony Wilson looked lively in the internal trial, still has electric pace.

Brayden Kirk showed some good signs, will get to link up with fellow Crystal Brooker Hugh Jackson later.

That is a fascinating relationship. He trains with us but plays with West when not required by Port.

At one level it feels compromised for a league competition but on the other it's a mature response to a modern footballing landscape.

I wonder how many clubs will participate. No surprise Brad Gotch who has played and coached at Alberton, has encouraged someone to participate in it.

It's nice to see. Heaven forbid they finally realise what they are.

His quote “My hope this year is to just play as many SANFL games as possible and then win a premiership with the Maggies” is sure to please those Westie supporters who want to see him realise that dream :tongueoutv1:

A reasonable comment when you play for the reigning wooden spooner. History shows Westies have almost no hope of winning a flag this year. :)

Does a SANFL-drafted player automatically become the property of their previous SANFL club upon delisting? Or do they need to sign on again? If not, is it a SANFL approval required (due to being on an AFL list the previous season) or do WWT still have their finger in the pie somehow and can potentially receive a clearance fee for a player that hasn't even stepped in the door at Oval Ave since being drafted?

Trent Burgoyne confirmed.

"Former AFL rookie Trent Burgoyne has also returned to the club as part of the SANFL list and will line up against the Eagles - coincidentally the club he was drafted from."

Matthew Lobbe signs on. SANFL player and ruck coach.

So 26 confirmed top ups for the Magpies of varying age and experience and a lot more to work with if injury/illness occurs. Much better than the limit of 10 aged between 18-22 that the system started off at when the other clubs were wetting their beds and then preying on those same players at season's end.

Do you know the names of the 26 Magpies top ups?
Cheers.
