Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

Will sit on my hands this week, barring some sort of injury crisis, and even then, would consider my bench first!

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

Hmmmm, I guess I'm just nervous about actually being good at Supercoach for once.

I'll fight my way through, I will. Just gotta get the hang of making good trade moves over bad ones.

I'll put the panic button away now.

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

As for Tippett his scores go from 50 one week to 150 the next you just need to enjoy the ride.
150 is a bit of an exaggeration, but he can score big...but last year, that usually only happened when he scored 4 or more goals.
If you got Tippett (as I did, by the way), you need to accept his 50 and move on. He'll have 130s as well

My belief is this year he's gonna have more big scores than small ones, but he's still going to be inconsistent. One game, in a game where Adelaide were pantsed and Tippett had a go in the ruck, doesn't undo the reasons you drafted him in the first place.
Adelaide pretty much had no rucks (considering Griffin's performance), so Tippett had to also play ruck, which obviously reduces his scores...and hopefully with Maric and possibly Sellar back this week in the ruck, Tippett should have ample opportunity to score well up in the forward line.

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

I'm doing it. Means I'm sitting on extra 300k and makes a rookie a quick toss for a premo when they hit 300k.
You could do Ablett to Barlow, free up $600K, and make a rookie a very quick toss for a premo immediately.

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

I had a bit of a brain fart and traded in M. Hurley at the last minute. (not sure why, i completely forgot the club benched him for 4 weeks!)

I have gumbleton on my bench, and he only pulled 13 points over the weekend.

So - should i swap him out? Or just stick with him until he gets back?
Will his price go down as he hadn't played? or stay the same?

Hurley's price won't change until he plays 3 games. So don't worry about him losing value while he's out. Personally I'd just hold onto him and cross ya fingers that Gumbleton can at least get some respectable scores for the next 2 weeks.

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

fairly happy with rd1 only one trade on my mind is gia is he spuds against richmond he gone and wil look at grey if alright

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

I will definetly not be making any changes in round 1. However I do want to strike before prices increase.

I haven't got Hodge so I need to move quick.

When is the last moment I can trade to get Hodge in my team before his price increases.

I'm thinking after Round 2.

Mitch Robinson 270,000 downgrade to Shuey (or Banner) whomever has proved greater consistency (already have Barlow and Martin)

Cale Hooker 330,000 upgrade to Luke Hodge

Thoughts??

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

Aggghh, trading is my Kryptonite! :D

I am addicted to trading, I love trading, trade, trade, trade.

Have already thought about all the guys I had in my team but took them out but want them in now -

H.Shaw
Malcheski
Silvagni
Peterson
Banner
J.Brown
Medhurst

I was thinking of imaginary trades today in my head because its safer that way when I am not in front of the PC and its fun. This is what I came up with -

1. Malcheski for Hunt

2. Nason for Silvagni

3. Banner for Trengrove

4. J.Brown for Tippet

5. Medhurst for Hall

6. Peterson for Gumbleton

I really like 1 and 4 and even 5 looks good too. 3 looks good aswell if Trengrove has another stinker. And Gumby, what the hell was I thinking? I'd rather have Petersons right boot and a half eaten snickers bar on my forward bench than this dam spud!

Of course I will NOT do these trades and keep my 20 for a rainy day but its good to do these pretend trade scenarios in your head. LOL! :p

I'm saving my first two trades for getting Chris Judd in after he has played his 2nd game. Trengrove will most likely be the one that turns into Judd and i will have to downgrade someone to get more cash as I only have $42,000 in the bank.

Well I want to trade out Newman....but must be strong....

I can predict my trade next week (and everyone elses')

Trengove scores 40 and Howlett scores 100 and everyone (include me) jump on board the Howlett train...just a gut feeling.. and to back my instinct I might go Shuey/Banfield/Bastinac over Trengove... but that's too risky...

Hit the nail on the head, let's not get too carried away with one game.

Glad you have the scores there posted to proove it too, great work :thumbsu:

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

Guys if people want to be so arogent, then dont ask for advice, just do it. If you ask and the majority say no or yes and you go against them you are more than likely doing something wrong aswell as wasting our time. It is only round 1 and you want to burn 2 trades already? You get less than 1 per week (on avg.). You are the guys who will run out of trades before the split round and suffer.

Yeah heaps of people have already done this with newman, what is he going to average 12 or what ever it was for the rest of the season and Clark/Cox/Jolly are the going to average around the 50 mark all season I highly doubt it. Then you got Kornes, Malceski, Rischtalli, Shaw and Ziebel who every 1 is trying to pick up, the WILL NOT average there 1st round scores all year.

Except for Barlow he is a superstar. Will win the Brownlow ;).. any 1 know what his odds are?

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

Hehe i want to do some imaginary trades too!
Masten for Mcveigh
Gumby for Rockliff
Jetta for Bastinac/Banner
Tippet for Brennan
Carrazo for Macdonald

80% chance I won't do any of them, before price changes.
I'm considering Gumby for Rockliff though, now that Buchanon is injured.

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

Hi guys,

Is it possible for me to do 1 trade only?
I have Tippett (FWD) & Jolly (RUC).
I want to end up with Tippet (RUC) & Franklin (FWD)
How would I go about doing this?
Also, is it too early to drop Jolly?
Tippett didn't have a good week, but I keeping him & hope he will improve :)
