Developing strong, fierce women.. but tell everyone that they’re limited. What’s with the obsession of Christians liberals trying to introduce bills/blockages to limit freedoms, whilst encouraging religious oppression. Sickening

Developing strong fierce women... but making them compete against biological men, is that fair?

How about the campaigner just tries to prevent anymore covid deaths instead of throwing out meat ffs

Dr Michelle Ananda-Rajah - infectious disease doc from the Alfred (i think its the alfred)

the one thing she may get blow back on is she was one of the docs who voiced concerns about AZ back in the day

right now the focus for chat seems to have moved to climate and inclusion over covid though. Allen is trying to push her support for the Glasgow work, and how she crossed the floor on the Religious Discrimination bill. initial vibe seems to be a bit of "too little too late", but the electioneering hasnt really fired up in Higgins yet.
Alfred hospital also are out of touch relative to other vic hospitals - they are blessed with abundant staffing and funds when compared to my povvo hospital

I obviously mean the 2nd part, he could stop being a coward for starters.

I don't know how old you are but this sounds like

Hmm, maybe more cynical, but the one that matters, more skeptical?

All my 50-60 y.o. mates are healthily skeptical. They have life experience, been through a few phases of the ups and downs.
There's skepticism and there's skepticism. I wouldn't class skepticism over science that has been demonstrated thousand of times over in the same category as distrust of government tax and welfare plans, for example. I would say that among young people there is a skepticism that they will have the same living standards as their parents, and they don't trust politicians to do anything substantial about that.

Yes we grew up in the era of traditional media, but we knew the bias of each journal and took that into consideration.
But who is the core audience of Murdoch media, the most obvious garbage out there (with the possible exception of the Daily Mail)? I could be wrong, but I don't think it's anyone under 35.

Impossible for anyone now, no matter how internet-savvy they consider themselves to be, to second-guess the powerful algorithms working to curate their version of "reality".
I agree.

I'm not saying boomers are the fount of all wisdom. I'm saying no generation has the franchise on savvy, and it's a lazy shorthand to portray boomers as being more prone to scare campaigns etc.
I have never claimed any generation has the franchise on savvy. However, I think boomers are more prone to scare campaigns partly because as a group they control a lot of wealth, so they have much more to lose. That's exactly who scare campaigns work on.

This nation has a rising cost of living crisis, generations shut out of owning their own homes, a 3rd world standard economic diversity (Ranked in the 80s in the world, but how good is mining), falling education standards, increasing levels of courrtpion, Real shit that actually matters.

Yet the useless campaigner known as scotty can only deal with culture war shit over actual real world issues.

I know what is far more important to this nation.

FreoRicci finds it sickening so maybe it is really important?

Scott Morrison has backed a push to exclude transgender people from women’s sport in Australia after telling parents three years ago that the nation’s schools didn’t need “gender whisperers”.

The Prime Minister has described the push to ban trans athletes from women’s sport as “terrific” just weeks after a divisive debate over discrimination against LGBTIQ kids in Australian schools.

Campaigning in the Tasmanian marginal seat of Lyons, Mr Morrison said he was happy to back a push by Tasmanian senator Claire Chandler in a private members’ bill to allow sporting groups to exclude trans people from playing women’s sport.

“I support it, as Claire knows. I think it’s a terrific bill and I’ve given her great encouragement,” Mr Morrison said.

“Claire is a champion for women’s sport and I think she’s been right to raise these issues in the way that she has. Well done, Claire.”

His support appears at odds with his written pledge to rebel MPs in December, 2021 that he would act to ensure children were not discriminated against at school on the basis of sexuality or gender.

You've got to believe Morrison is genuinely concerned about issues which might come from trans women in sport and not just trying to chuck a bone to the ACL and the like over his failure to get the religious discrimination bill through which is a bit of a stretch.

She will probably be fine on the AZ thing. The concerns were really that ATAGI came out and recommended under 60s, then under 50s to take another vaccine. Then the CHO reiterated it and the “it’s not a race” bizzo came into play. It was once Scomo realised the backlash of half the nation seeking the vaccine they were actually advised to get that he realised the risk had to be reassessed for political purposes. I would be surprised if anyone remembers or minds a doctor supporting what was the expert advice at the time.

I'm open to good suggestions

You can do better

well at least I'm hoping you can do better
I can't get past " **** off shirko, you dogwhistling mutt "

If i was mod it'd be a daily updated death toll, so i'm probably not your guy on this one

This is becoming a big issue in professional women's sport and eventually a compromise will need to be found because there is growing opposition to transwomen playing women's sport.

But is the average middle of the road swinging voter who was a bit unsure of ScoMo now suddenly going to back him because he’s against trans sports? Although it’s a big issue with the Rogan-ites

He was campaigning in Lyons when he said that, it’s 6% more “no religion” than the Australian average, and more Anglican than usual, and Anglicans generally aren’t too anti LGBT. It’s also held by the ALP 55% TPP. But it is about 15% below average wages, so he may think the “poors” can be distracted by a “trans people are going to come to your kid’s school sports days and beat them all, then go into their toilets and molest them” type campaign.

No, Morrison is scraping the bottom of the barrel looking for issues that he thinks makes him look conservative but doesn't.
