Boys must want the weekend off, they've let Marise Payne give the update on Ukraine.
A question that should be asked of Ms Payne is the Australian Government's response to India joining with China to abstain from voting to support the UN resolution condemning Russia for the Ukraine invasion over night.

Morrison and Dutton have pumped up the tyres of the so called 'QUAD' alliance between Australia, US, India and Japan over the past year and 2 weeks ago Payne herself issued a joint communique saying how important the alliance with India is.

And here we have India effectively supporting the Russian regime's attack on its smaller neighbour. And not one peep out of Morrison in response while he has been more than willing to attack China constantly for doing exactly the same thing.

Yet another hole blasted in the Morrison Government's claim to be the best choice for Australia's national security.

The Beetaloo Basin is a gas project partly owned by one of Putin's mates, Viktor Vekselberg. Remember, both the Coalition and Labor voted to spend public money on fracking the basin. am yet to hear of any sanctions being placed on Vekselberg. Can't risk stalling new fossil fuel projects, hey?

A reminder that Josh Burns has a proud Jewish background, his maternal grandmother came to Australia as a Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany.
Zelensky just got called a neo-Nazi by Putin despite being Jewish. When the heroes of the right are engaging in such behaviour, it's no surprise the common mouth breathers engage in monkey see, monkey do.

It would never happen though because nobody in here would actually be brave enough to say anything to the man's face out on the street.
He was head butted in Tasmania. Then had a cry about it on every media outlet that gave him air time about it.

Dunno how one manages to confuse a liberal dork like Abbott for a tough guy. He's the cookie cutter north shore pansie.

It would never happen though because nobody in here would actually be brave enough to say anything to the man's face out on the street.

This is what happens when someone confronts Tony Abbott in the street:

A coward and a bully speaking his mind.

Not forgetting this is the so-called tough guy who punched the wall either side of a female student while he was at university and had a goon squad of thugs intimidating those who opposed him.

It would never happen though because nobody in here would actually be brave enough to say anything to the man's face out on the street.

He's no coward, but if you simply tell him that he was a very limited politician, what's he going to do?

What do you expect? The Quad are Johnny-come-latelys with India. The Soviet Union backed them for decades while America armed their mortal enemy, Pakistan. People's memories aren't that short.

The whole India-Pakistan dynamic is weird.

You've got Russia and the UK on one side (backing India militarily and politically) and China and the US on the other. China and Pakistan actually have a 'special relationship' (i.e. like AUS and the UK/US/NZ).

Probably one of the few areas where the UK and US clearly have a different foreign policy approach.

OMG everyone Tony Abbott is so manly with his big powerful rippling muscles drool he'd beat all of you nerds into the middle of next week even with both hands tied behind his back!

Conservatives are so tough and scary!

Make for some f***ing amazing cricket though.

Ironically, their actual national cricket teams get along surprisingly well off the field despite their political issues.

Shoaib Akhtar was quite complimentary about them in his autobiography.

Zelensky's obviously no neo-Nazi, but the Ukrainian military should have rooted out, rather than integrated, their neo-Nazi elements (the Azov Batallion should have been disbanded and their members jailed).

I'm no expert on India's foreign policy, but I doubt they view the UK in that good a light. They too basically washed their hands of India after independence and backed Pakistan.

That's understating it. From what I see, Pakistan is just a client state of China. Can't think of a single time they've gone against Chinese interests. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor looks like a method to make Pakistan economically dependent on China, while also giving the Chinese navy multiple ports in the Indian Ocean.

I feel like the Quad is really an insurance policy for India, due to Russia moving closer to China, and hence Pakistan.

Lol @ clowns trying to defend Tony Abbott in what was a glaring example of his apathy towards average Australians.

Probably the same folks who would defend dodgy, pedophile protecting Aussie Cardinals? 🤔

For some reason, the scene where Forrest Gump describes Jenny's father as a "very loving man, always touching his kids" just came into my head.

Talk about black comedy.

Ideally, yes, but when you're staring an invasion by a much not powerful nation in the face, you can't really afford to be picky.
