You choose to be divisive. It's never too late for you to stop hating and start helping.
How have I been divisive? I'm not the one blatantly cheerleading as you have this afternoon.

"Yes he is away on holiday, but we can't disclose the location" would have sufficed instead of telling the journalist that they shouldn't believe what they read on twitter. John Howard went on holiday to the same place every year and made no secret of it.

And if security is such a concern, why is he willingly in a photo with people he doesn't know throwing out a shaka?

He has a young family, they have every right to privacy and security whilst on holiday.

Which is why they didnt have to disclose where they are going?

They knew about the dates 5 week's ago. A simple media release outlining that ScoMo is taking personal leave and going away with his family, and Michael McCormack is acting PM.

Projecting their own shit on you is the unhinged far right's standard tactic

Whatever they accuse others of, they are guilty of it.

There is basically a major anti-social movement in western democracy right now, their behaviour mirrors that of sociopaths/psychopaths, project/deflect/bullshit/destroy and delight in it all

You're cheerleading against our Prime Minister.
No, my point this entire time is that he handled this incredibly poorly. I'm not quoting and posting biased articles, I'm glad he finally knuckled down and went to the front line. He should have been there last week. Hopefully (though I doubt it) he learns from this and outlines a stance on climate change and fire protection, instead of focussing on a religious discrimination bill.

Very different to apologists who won't admit that he ****ed this one up.

Helping to fight bushfires is virtue signalling you say. What a terrible take.
Didn't realise you were fighting the bushfires - good on you! How do you still find so much time to post every right wing tweet you stumble upon on here?

The unhinged psychopathic loons are the far-left. Everyone can see it, on the news, on social media and in real life. Making fools of yourselves every day. Keep it up so we can keep #winning elections.

When there are loons on here that actually hope the man's kids get bullied at school, you can never be too careful!

Yeah, you're definitely not barracking.

Leaving aside the childish mud slinging from both sides. His handling of this has been poor.

Howard showed excellent leadership as crises such as Port Arthur, the Canberra Bushfires, the Bali bombings and Boxing Day Tsunami unfolded. He was decisive in his leadership, showed genuine care and concern as well as putting away partisan politics and not deflecting disaster management as a state issue. During these times it was bittersweet to think that horrible occurrences would bring out the best in our political leaders.

In Morrison’s case he has more or less been head in the sand and then pissed off overseas. For someone who is very ‘brand’ conscious it was a horrible look. If it was a Labor PM and they did the same they would also be rightly criticised. W Bush was roundly criticised for a sluggish response to Hurricane Katrina.

Now Morrison is back and seemingly doing what he should’ve done weeks ago - good. Hopefully he is genuinely remorseful and concerned. However, given the prior behaviour the cynicism and scrutiny will be turned up by many (like it is on Albanese).

The picture of Albo buying supplies did seem a bit set-up for my liking, but at least he showed up with some supplies, while Scott Morrison couldn't just drive to the Murdoch Christmas party and use the taxpayer funds that he used to fly in a private army jet to give to the firies.
And just happened to be observed and photographed by someone whose whole twitter account seems to be about retweeting ALP supporting or LNP attacking posts. Still fake and staged as it was at least he was in the country

He has a young family, he is entitled to take a short 4 day family break. His wife and young kids also deserve some time with their dad and husband in privacy. There are capable people on the ground co-coordinating fire fighting efforts. The hysteria of people who think that everything will fall apart if "the leader" is not there to hold our hands is absurd and disingenuous. Just using this as an opportunity to sink the boot into your political foes and to promote your own extremist CC agenda.

It was evidently staged IMO. Albo looks like 90% of white dads. There's probably a very strong overlap between people that would recognise Albo in public and Labor hacks. But at the end of the day, at least he showed up with some of the supplies they had been forced to crowdsource because the Federal and State Government refuse to give them even basic survival supplies.

Did you even read what I wrote? Whilst I don't think he needed a holiday after taking 2 already this year (after 45 days of sitting parliament), he is entitled to time off. Family time is important, especially in a high-stress, time-consuming role. But you're the Prime Minister, you were elected to lead. Whilst I didn't agree with a lot of his politics, and never voted for him, I have a hell of a lot of respect for John Howard. He cared, he would have been present.

Just don't lie about it and try to cover it up. Tell the public that you are going on holiday, and that the Deputy PM is covering. Once you've been sprung, don't then use your own wife as a shield in a pretty average non-apology apology. It just looks so poor, but you wouldn't admit that, would you?

Sorry, but you’re not entitled to a break as a PM while natural disasters are occurring. If that is too hard for you and your kids you should quit. Abbott, Howard, Gillard etc would never take a holiday in this situation. I don’t like Abbott in general but I would have no questions about his leadership during an event like this.

It is incredibly poor leadership and form by Scott Morrison. I am sick of the deflections, arrogance (ie sneaking off to Hawaii and having your staff lie about it) and lack of vision. God is guiding him alright, guiding him towards being the worst leader in our history.
