Two players who are almost identical in many aspects of the game. Both are elite midfielders who have elite kicking and handballing skills. Neither player has great speed, but both seem to have all the time in the world when they have the ball in hand and have great agility.

Which player do you rate higher?

Ask yourself if you rate NDS as Simon Black's equal? Because that is where Scott Pendlebury's career is headed at the current rate.

At his prime Dal Santo and Pendlebury are equal. Dal Santo has had to contend with some seriously good taggers along the way. Fortunatley for Pendles there basically obsolete these days.

They're obsolete huh? Carazzo, Crowley, Jones, Raines, Picken, Scott Selwood (can), Hocking, Bird, Lewis (can), T Hunt. I think maybe you're a little behind the times, tags are back in this season, Dal Santo himself has been tagged out of a quite a few games lately.

Its a good comparison though, Dal Santo is who Pendles reminded me of when he first started to fire. Dal Santo has always been harshly judged because he is seen as being soft. I don't think he is a hard at it player, but he certainly can win a hard ball in his own way and his ball use is excellent. I think Dal Santo would be in the top 10 mids of the past 10 years and due to longevity has been the better player so far. But if you're talking about whose best is best, that would already be Pendles. If you're talking about who is the better player now, that would be Pendles and if you are guessing who will be remembered as a better player by the end of their careers I am guessing that will be Pendles too.

Everhot, you sound like Hump17, you smell like Hump17 and you look like Hump17.
You also have similar difficulty with spelling and grammer.

The fact that you are masquerading as a Collingwood supporter and have not voted for Pendlebury is quite the give away.

Pendlebury is better at his best, more consistent, and should end up with a better career, but there's not a huge amount in it at the moment.

Pendlebury will end up being twice the player Black has been IMO.

pull the other one.

black has been an out and out star for many years. whilst i think pendlebury is a better player i think you are grossly exaggerating the gap between the two.

About three years ago they were pretty much the identical player. Difficult to tackle, sublime ball use which set up others in space ready to attack the goals and read the ball better than anyone.

Pendlebury has improved since then whilst Dal is probably the same as what he was. (Not meant as disrespect to Dal, as he's still an A grader, Pendlebury's just become A+)

Pendlebury Easily for me. He has taken his game to a level that Dal has never reached. Dal has been a great player, but Pendles is probably top 3 or 4 mids in the game, and the best at Collingwood.

Dal probably isn't even the best mid at St Kilda (i'll give that to Lenny).

I'm not to sure it's that easy to settle. Last year in a struggling team and midfield NDS was the only one to stand up. He has always been a favourite of mine and when players can step up in times of adversity, which I think last year NDS did, it shows how great a player they are.

I guess if I had to chose I would probably chose Pendlebury but I if they changed teams now it wouldn't affect the either side IMO.

I saw the title of this poll and thought to myself 'WTF?' Thought maybe a troll.

Pendlebury by a long way. Those 6 who have voted for NDS are surely concussed, drunken, saints supporters...
