Self-serve checkouts have made grocery shopping at supermarkets far more quicker and convenient for the consumer. I'm surprised to see that some people opt to use regular checkouts. Perhaps they find them too impersonal or simply aren't able to use them efficiently.
The supermarket chains must be glad. More checkouts, fewer time taken by consumers and fewer employees on the payroll.

). I've since refused to use it - i don't care if i only have a handful of items...... and am blocking someone with a full trolley load, i will lineup in any register as i see fit.
