That was a tight quarter of qooty with both sides showing what they are capable of. A thrill goes around the ground whenever the ball gets near the NWS&ACT forward 50 because they have a couple of real livewires. HARPS stuck a foot out there infront of Duggan but now he's rolling on the ground and clutching his left shin. That looks to be some pretty serious damage there. Well the siren sounds and that marks a seesawing half of qooty. The Allies looked the stronger side but a couple of quick breaks from NWS&ACT kept them in it. They have shown resiliance in the face of great pressure from The Allies, but their smaller bodies are absorbing a lot of punishment in the process. It certainly took it's toll on HARPS as he left the field with what appeared to be an extremely serious leg injury, possibly a double compound fracture of the tibia and fibia but he was back on the ground in the last couple of minutes of that half.

For The Allies it's singles to Marklar, Reardo, RUL, Lion Cub and A Flying Pube. NWS&ACT's goalkickers are LandOfTheGiants, Strachnie59, no_orange_peeler and pekay-norwest, all with singles.

If that was the premiership quarter then The Allies are a premiership team! NWS&ACT had no answers in that term as The Allies locked it in their half for almost all the quarter. NWS&ACT just didn't look like they wanted to put their bodies on the line as much as The Allies and were punished as a result. We kept waiting for their fightback but it never arrived and a 5 goal deficit confronts them going into the last.

For NWS&ACT Pantskyle has been dominant in the ruck and their half-forwards had looked good when the ball has come in there with anything approaching decent delivery while Flaps and LandOfTheGiants have been ok, but their midfield as a whole has let them down. For The Allies A Flying Pube was playing very solidly until he the coach saw fit to throw RUL back into the fray. Their midfield have been servicable without dominating while their forwards have been pretty good defensively but wayward on goal. Tim_Saints has justified the trust given to him with a good performance so far.
