Last week Adelaide average age was 25yr,80 games Port's was 23 yr 5 months, 59 games.

That could well go up for you guys this week if Johncock comes back in too.

I'm not sure Cap... go through periods where I think get rid of it and others thinking keep it. ATM I'm thinking keep it. It is a point of difference. Everyone in the AFL knows what it is even the Vics. Do we have to do things the "Vic" way (next we'll be calling for Divvy Vans ).

Imagine if it was as Showdown GF... the national AFL media will go crazy with that because it already has the cred.

Don't worry next year I'll probably want the "Showdown" tag ripped away from everything to do with the game.

true, but it just feels like it cheapens the game. That maybe because I hate "being sold to" so the idea that it needs to be named for marketing purposes annoys me.

I just don't know why Adelaide v Port Adelaide wouldn't suffice in a marketing sense.

It's part of life in a 2-team city.

WA has the Derby, Qld has the Q-Clash, SA has the Showdown. Can't remember what they call 1st vs last in NSW (and don't really care either).
