There's countless players that have copped a hard tag over the years. Some seem to cope with the extra attention and find a way to contribute while for others it can be paralyzing.

There are many instances over the years where the protagonists engage in some off-ball shenanigans such as Steve Baker tagging Steve Johnson in 2010 where the two came to blows several times throughout the course of the match.

One of the more bizarre off-ball encounters this year was when Blicavs was illegally tackled by a clearly frustrated Sloane 10m off the ball. Sloane wrapped his legs around Blicavs in a wrestling type manoeuvre, bringing him to ground in a twisting motion and breaking his leg.

Some have declared this act as simply an unfortunate footballing incident and more a case of a tagger getting his comeuppance. Others believe Sloane was at a bare minimum reckless in his actions and a MRP sanction was in order.

Are players tasked with a tagging role such as Blicavs fair game for some extra attention?

as a neutral supporter it was clear Sloane engaged in contact but I think it was to drag Blicavs down rather than to break his leg.

Blicavs engaged in the contact but turned his back rather than engaging safely side on.

It is the outcome that matters - until Rory Sloane breaks a leg.

What the ****? I coincidentally was just rewatching the pantsing we gave you and stumbled on your stupid post.

Sloane was chasing Selwood and Blicavs laid a shepherd. Sloane rode into Blicavs back at fall speed and came down on his legs.

Stop fabricating that this was somehow behind the play.

You'd hope the leg breaker doesn't try and repeat this Friday night.
Holy ****!
That's the incident he's whining about?

"10m off the ball"
He's about 1m away, gets shepherded and falls into Blicavs leg.

Unfortunate, but you'd have to be mental to suggest Sloane was trying to injure him in any way.
