A while back but believe Ashwood spent some time in Div 1.Are Clayton the only club to go from Div 1 to Div 4?
What year? I can only remember Ashwood being as high as Div 2A while back but believe Ashwood spent some time in Div 1.

sorry should have said i don't think any but clayton have had the full drop, they were close to going up in 2021 lost to black rock on percentageClayton were in Div 1 in 2017
Won Div 2 flag in 2001. Spent 2002-2006 in Div 1.What year? I can only remember Ashwood being as high as Div 2
Clayton were in D1 less than 10 years ago. EB have never been lower than D2 in clubs history and Ashwood as mentioned were in D1 for 5 seasons in early 2000s.Hampton did 2 to 4 back up to 2, East Brighton looks like an easy 1 to 3 don't think any have done the full drop
Clayton had to sell the farm to get the Scanlon bros & co out of Narre Warren. Were terrific players BTW but haven’t recovered since they leftClayton were in D1 less than 10 years ago. Amazing to think that some of the powerhouse D1 teams of the early 2000s- Clayton, St Kilda City and East Brighton are all languishing in D4, D3 and soon to be D3 respectively. They won 8 of the 14 flags in the period 2001-2014.
What price do you put on a flag and playing at the highest level ? Both City and EB have won premierships which can't be said for allot of clubs who either can't or don't want to take a risk. All sports have cycles, and quoting poor governance is not the only reason.Clayton had to sell the farm to get the Scanlon bros & co out of Narre Warren. St K City & EB well it’s rightly documented that there was poor governance in previous regimes & the incumbent are trying to turn it around
Can’t find a fault in this at all. Clayton have really interested me this year, they came into the season projected to be close to the top of the table. What do you reckon has happened?Who has everyone got this week for tips?
Mine are:
JOCs by 40 (bias) will be a lot closer than the past results might suggest. Ashwood shouldn’t be slept on especially later in the year.
Dandy by 80, hopefully Clayton bounce back after some poor weeks but this could be a huge blowout at Greaves.
Doveton by 13, the Roos have been slaughtered so far this year but I reckon they’ll consider themselves a chance. The eagles will just hold on in the last quarter.
Narre by 37, this is going to be a really good gauge on where all the teams are at so far this year, Lyndale have some good players but Narre will run over the top in the end.
Wow, cheers! Can’t find a fault in this at all. Clayton have really interested me this year, they came into the season projected to be close to the top of the table. What do you reckon has happened?
Watching a few of their games online, it looks like they have possibly recruited too many experienced players and can’t keep up with the speed of other teams? Could this be a possibility?Wow, cheers!
After reading this chat it became clear Clayton ‘thought’ they were going to be pretty good this year and decided to create the ‘Div4 All stars’. I believe they took SY’s best goalkicker and Lyndale’s ruck, coach and a midfielder. However after Good Friday they have looked a mess, my team JOCs put on a clinic against them a little while ago.
Could someone from Clayton fill us in?
However it is only Round 6 so plenty of time for things to turn around.
Would watch Channel 44 on free to air before I’d rely on Sportscast deary meWould love to watch a couple of games today but the hamster on the wheel at Sportscast must have died

Wondering what a Doncaster fan is doing lurking in the Div 4 SFNL pages. Or are you upset one of there coaches left the dumpster hill at bashwood? Can’t find a fault in this at all. If Clayton buy 30 plus year old's and they all played in Div 4 over the last few years how can they expect to get better or build a future. If they win it they will retire and they are stuffed again. I like what a few teams are doing and trying to bring through youth and build long term. At least they have a chance for a futureWow, cheers!

In actual fact the 2012 Division 1 grand final was held there with a few division 2 finals series in & around this seasonAnd used to host SFNL finals in the lower divisions.
Been one almighty progressive downfall
