tough call. only seen a handful of polec's games, but ill pay the mention.

I think Jack Riewoldt is under rated. Gets shit canned for his media policy and for having the occasional hissy fit but the bloke frequently kicks 3-4 goals despite often having average games. Not many forwards can claim that.
Jack is a great FF. And I think Dimma is getting his head around that. His antics really don't impact his ability (it can creep into his output if he lets it get the better of him and he is the definition of a confidence player), and anyone rating him down because of it is fishing for a story. to date he hasn't had the forward line around him. But its starting to look alright.

Cant be bothered reading 16 pages but I hope he has been mentioned as I still reckon he is underrated...

Nick Riewoldt.

In the best 5 players of the last 12 years...unbelievable tank/heart/athlete/footballer

Only issue is he's played in 3 Grand Finals and has rarely stepped up.

Nick Smith is certainly the first name to come to mind, with Jay Schultz not far behind. Matt Rosa also to a degree.

Nathan Jones once upon a time I felt was underrated, was a big fan of his 2007 season. Nowadays he is rightfully recognised as a cellar dwelling champion.

Still underrated imo.

4th in the league for possessions so far this year, gutsy leader and can also shut down opposition players (like he did to Marc Murphy), all in a struggling team. Put him in a winning team and you'll see how good he is.

Jones had a game equal to Abletts on the weekend

Ablett: 32 disposals, 17 contended possessions, 4 marks, 8 clearances, 2 tackles, 2 goals
Jones: 30 disposals, 16 contended posessions, 3 marks, 10 clearances, 5 tackle, 1 goal

Obviously Ablett at his best is head and shoulders above Jones (and most players) but it shows Jones can hold it together against the best players in the comp at an elite level.

Jones is a gun but stats dont tell you everything.

Did you watch the game? Jones was finding space and pin-pointing kicks with about a meter between him and three players in front. He snapped a terrific goal and kept us in the game in the final term with exceptional clearance work.
