I think Hurley needs to have an impact next season, meaning that he needs to get some game time. As an international rookie and therefore new to the game, he needs to see if he can make it and what his key areas that he needs to improve are. Of course most of that will happen at wafl level but the seniors is different. In addition he is physically mature and ready to go.

If Apeness is not ready early I would like to see Hurley getting primed in the pre-season for a forward role, and then get a shot in the best 22.

Hurley amazed how fast he came when he went into the forward line, he is one big mobile unit to, when he bumping them they stayed bumped. Early days but could be an unexpected bonus.

Yes early days, had one game got 20p though. If he can stay in peelthunder first and smash a few opposition players get 10p snag a goal will surely get another year then we should know. Kaneally (spelling) from the swans took 3/4 seasons and ended up quality.

I also like Hannath. He cops a lot of flack for having the turning circle of Queen Mary and the agility of a lump of clay, but I live in hope that he will be a serviceable back up ruck. Shame he doesn't have the mobility and speed required, he's certainly a fair field kick and has the temperament to play clutch.

I'm trying to have a little faith. The option to get an International Rookie has been there for a while, we haven't taken a punt until now. That either means we're desperate (and we are)but could also mean that the recruiters could see something in him that was worth taking a punt on.
