exactly. in all reality its no different. you can still rig it. We will want to go really high in the first two years anyway while we have cap space - especially 2026. we really cant lose. in two years he will be 30 and we may not want him anyway if he wont accept a more reasonable pay packet and we are trying to find cash for a superstar.So the upshot of all that is we sign him to a high two year contract, then halfway through year 2, we extend him and years 3-5 are at a lower amount.
