FFS he had issues , some of which got a tub of mayo slapped on by the media
He has his shit together , has done for a while now
His contract is on par with Trac who is 2 years older
Possibly makes more sense of why we cooled on Stevens as well, as similar contested bull to Oliver however lacks the class of Trac.FFS he had issues , some of which got a tub of mayo slapped on by the media

Plan B? Doesn't have our name to it what so ever but something to go for if Trac nominates GC
There is no way we can know if Oliver has his "shit" together as you put it. And even if that's the case there is no guarantee he won't relapse given his checkered history..FFS he had issues , some of which got a tub of mayo slapped on by the media

You’d be mad not to go for him if it only was for a 2nd or less though, given the state of our midfieldThere is no way we can know if Oliver has his "shit" together as you put it. And even if that's the case there is no guarantee he won't relapse given his checkered history..
Reads like HR preparing to put someone on a management planI really don't get this statement.
'The coach will outline a new set of plans for Oliver, which might not be to Oliver's liking.' - what does that even mean? Training with more intensity or something along those lines? If he doesn't like it at Melbourne then which other club is going to happily put their hand up knowing that? A different role with less midfield time? Seems unusual if you're going to lose Petracca and have Oliver playing on such a big contract when he isn't capable of playing elsewhere - unless they want to go with their silly suggestion of a few years ago and have him spend time off HBF.

That's essentially what a management plan is used forReads like a club looking to get rid of a player.
Ah I see. We on the same page. That's essentially what a management plan is used for
It means the Demons don't share Viva La Mattner's confidence that Oliver has got his "shit" together and Stephen King is in a way better position to gauge that.I really don't get this statement.

Maybe the deal is only 70% done. Was a crows account but didn't say just said its done
Woopedazz is the account
Would you still consider him if he came cheaply? It means the Demons don't share Viva La Mattner's confidence that Oliver has got his "shit" together and Stephen King is in a way better position to gauge that.
Disagree, if they're looking to rebuild on the fly then capitalising on aging players at peak value is when you trade them.It means the Demons don't share Viva La Mattner's confidence that Oliver has got his "shit" together and Stephen King is in a way better position to gauge that.
Reads like a player that the Demons and the coach have no confidence in keeping his "shit" together and having further issues going forward.Reads like a club looking to get rid of a player.
Geelong getting Worpel, don't think they'd want bothWe definitely cooled on Oliver -because getting Trac to Adelaide has been in progress even before finals {mid year)
If we do miss Trae - does Oliver become a target ?
Geelong were keen and they will have the Curnow cash if they miss out on him
Unless it’s purely a money thing. They are rebuilding and know he won’t be part of their next flag push?Reads like a player that the Demons and the coach have no confidence in keeping his "shit" together and having further issues going forward.
Did Clarry run over your dog or something? There is no way we can know if Oliver has his "shit" together as you put it. And even if that's the case there is no guarantee he won't relapse given his checkered history..
Or they are going full rebuild mode with May, Trac, Oliver and McVee out the door.It means the Demons don't share Viva La Mattner's confidence that Oliver has got his "shit" together and Stephen King is in a way better position to gauge that.
