Couple of early thoughts for tomorrow's card at Caulfield for Guineas day...

R4 CHAMANDI each way,currently $11 ftw and $2.92 ftp. Comes in well weighted with 54 kegs and will get the run of the race from barrier 2 and has Glen Boss on board who is in ripping form.

R5 PETMAN each way, currently $9 ftw and $2.68 ftp, has drawn perfectly here and could get a really soft lead from barrier 6 if he does take him forward which I think he should do, has good second up form and loves a good track which he will get here.

Anyone else like anything at this early stage ?

Wouldn't be banking on a good track with the forecast today/tonight for 3-6mm of rain.

Maybe Discreet in the main one

Others are mainly faves - Super Cool, Tribal Rock, Oasis Bloom, Free Wheeling

yeah I might hold off on PETMAN for now but I can't see us getting too much rain and if anything the track will be on the good side of dead.

Ugh Menados! Can't touch it at those odds. Terrible run last time and has never won over 1650m and is carrying 59kgs!

I thought Zuma Roc at $21/$6.20 was a good e/w ticket. Was beaten 1.85L behind Whisper Downs and Practiced in its previous start. Both horses feature here. Gets a 4.5kg weight swing in its favour on Whisper Downs and Newitt jumps on.

I'm thinking awfully wide in the first two legs and awfully short coming home. I'm pretty keen on Oasis Bloom and Practised but i'll take a couple of others around them as well as one just with those two. As Good as Free Wheeling and Morant look in the first I think there is a couple in there that can beat them, and the Thousand Guineas could throw up anything.
