Nechita won a jump out at Flemington, Howmuchdoyouloveme blitzed them down the straight on the same day and drew comparisons with Hay List.

So we're expecting him to cast himself on the Birdcage on the way to the start?!

Hope not, they were referring to his big striding galloping style. Broke 22s for his last 400 and cruised the last 200m in 10.58

Am I crazy or is 10-1 for Fire Thunderbolt and 15-1 for Lankan Rupee ridiculous value?

I think the issue with Lankan Rupee is that last time was his real chance to beat Snitzerland and just wasn't strong enough, he'd had two runs going in and was rock hard fit while Snitzerland was first up and had some improvement to come. Thunderbolt did nothing wrong but I think it all comes down to how much Snitzerland took out of the run, she's been targeted at this race and I'm sure that no one from the Sapphire will get past her on Saturday.

Agree with the Rupee assessment, however I'm of the opinion Fire Thunderbolt is the main danger to the top 2, and at 9-1 that is value. Remember Snitzerland had the fitness edge on him last time out and he came within a nose of her, he'll benefit so much from that run, and the fact it's only his 4th career starts suggests there is natural improvement as well.

Along with that, the fact he gets to the Flemington straight where he has won before is a big plus, I know they rate him highly (nominated him at Hong Kong) so if he races up to his expected ability I'd have him on top..

Totally forgot about Sizzling, ill watch the race again.

*Edit - Very good. Had a bit of a bumping duel at the 300m and flew the last 100. Off 18 weeks off too, now i have no idea what to do. I haven't even got down to Nechita yet... o_O

Really like Oasis Bloom in the myer, beat Spirit Song, Cheateaux Margeau and Midnight Martini two starts back before being wide the whole trip last start and only just being beaten by Star of Giselle who had a much easier run, and has since franked the form. Think the $10 on offer currently with TAB is definitely worth taking.

Yeah this really looks a tough race Schnitzerland, Sizzling, Fire Thunderbolt and Nicheta, thinking i will be looking for some value in either Fire Thunderbolt for some natural improvement and i think meets Schnitzerland slightly better at the weight? or Nicheta.

17's into 11's at Sportsbet, so certainly support. Personally I'm in the Pear Tart/Yosei camp.

Yosei has never run a place when carrying more than 55kgs. Beware.

December Draw overs in the Mackinnon for mine. Hoping Ocean Park has a flat one off the peak at MV.

Kellinni big overs at $11 I thought too in the Lexus.
The more I think about it the more I can see Howmuchdoyouloveme and Ocean Park both getting beaten. Really like December Draw's record at flemington so will definitely be having a go at the double fixed odds, and I'm leaning towards Golden Archer to beat Howmuchdoyouloveme.

That's a bit stiff. Would be great to see a horse win 5 Group 1's in a row.

In saying that, I will be taking advantage of DD's odds should OP put in a flat one.

Agree re Golden Archer's chances too, think he's overs.
