I know there is a Daily Punt thread but a thread just to discuss the major Spring carnival is needed i think.

Sincero for mine for the Cox Plate.
Form has been franked with Happy Trails on the weekend.
Does a first up win over 1400m and a Happy Trails win over a mile (arguably his pet distance) frank Sincero's form over 2000m?
Cox Plate looks a lottery to me this year (bit like last year) and I think I'm more than happy to sit back and see how the odds line up on the day.
For a farical long range double I am going to try and take Zurella Naturalism-Caulfield Cup if she lines up this Saturday.
Don't think Rekindled Interest has dome much wrong in his two runs this time in, will be hitting his straps at Mooney Valley.
Looking forward to seeing Molto Bene out to 1400m at Caulfield on Saturday. Promising SA filly who didn't get much galloping room first-up down the straight, should improve over the extra ground.
Genuine Thousand Guineas threat imo.
I'll also be smashing Manighar in every race he contests for the remainder of the spring.
Anyone got any tips in the Underwood or Thousand Guineas?
Manighar just wins the Underwood for mine.
In the 1000 Guineas prelude I actually like Dazzler at good EW odds. Her two wins last prep were very impressive and I think you can always forgive a horse for a failed effort up the straight at Flemington. Agree with Shark that CJ is under the odds - was not as impressed by others with her latest win.
In the Guineas Prelude tomorrow I'm pretty strong on Molto Bene and Spitfire Lady. Spitfire Lady is a really nice progressive type who was very impressive winning her maiden at Seymour. Molto Bene looked very good when she won the G3 Sires over 1400m last preparation. Gets out to 1400m again now and was crowded for room first-up at Flemington. Commanding Jewel is a drifting favourite and rightfully so in my opinion.
Also like Road Trippin in R2 at Caulfield at a nice price.
Manighar is too short currently. Should be about $3.50 in my book. 2nd up run last prep was pretty flat, so I'll risk him at the current $2.50. I like Sincero. $6 is a spoil.
I think Sincero is a big query on the jump to 1800m, but I should clarify that I have never really been a fan of him at distances above a mile.
I think Manighar is an entirely changed animal since moving to Moody and has the potential to go undefeated from here this Spring if placed correctly (have him in a few Caulfield Cups doubles). I thought there was an outside chance he would open in the red.
Manighar is too short currently.
