Ross Weller and Steven can split the BOG. My gosh how huge did they play.
Best team effort ive ever seen from such an inexperienced side.
Minch just demands his selection now.
Gresham just won rising star.... All i can say is WOW. And BrianSpeaking was right.. Will become our best player. fmd have we ever seen a better 8 gamer before. That was huge..
Carlisle says hello from the stands. GO SAINTS!

Whats great is that now supporters, (not necessarily tragics like all of us who love the team) I mean those supporters who have jumped off and on in the past will suddenly and hopefully see the way forward. They will see that finals is not far away. I'm thinking more memberships, more sponsorship and all those good off field stuff that we need.

It will also reinforce to those players who are looking and thinking of leaving that we are a great club to come to. You can't underestimate what a win like that would do here. Players want success and they want to be able to be sold a vision of what will happen in the next 3-4 years. We can sell that story now - its a much easier sell....

Lol now sooking that we had the bye last week.

Uhhh Chris, history says the team coming off the bye LOSES the following week due to lack of prep.

He's not far off hitting all 5 taste sensations #salty #sour #bitter

Roberton had 15 disposals at 100%. Mr no frills stopper, Delaney had 8 with 100% ( Dawson had 8 yesterday, 71%)
Mav had 19 disposals at 89.5% ( seriously what were Gold Coast thinking ?)

Relaying a rumour which I think was even repeated earlier today - Mav had a blue with the out and out champ of all d**kheads - Campbell Brown - and the club had to choose between them. Results speak for themselves.

Some of Robbo's efforts in the last couple of minutes were HUGE.

Won it in the first quarter for mine.

Came to play, pressure cut them to pieces that by the time the got going our boys had already tasted the victory.

My highlights

Mav Weller has ticker
Gresham has class
Seb and his time and space
Geary great game, but that last quarter...
Motlop in general
Wright forward
Chris Scott rivalling his bro with the tears
Gibert bounce
Delaney, it aint over until it's over

Great result. The pressure and intensity was there throughout the entire game. Can't really fault anyone's performance in particular. Good to get the win over a top eight side, in particular the ladder leaders. The most satisfying part was shutting up the one eyed Geelong supporter sitting behind me who was running his mouth when Geelong took the lead and blatantly biased calls throughout the entire game. The look on his face when Gresham kicked the winner.

Still not convinced by Acres, thought he was good in the last but made mistakes with his disposal all night - as seems to be usual.

That said, I felt the same way about Seb Ross six months ago, and look where we are now!

Agreed this time last year we were writing off seb who had the better of dangerfield and was the bog

Thnk god we didnt trade him and goes along way to show that this talk of trading acres is unwarranted

Acres will be some player when the heat was on he showed some composure and his disposal under pressure was tops

On a more sober note, I don't mind Dunstan being used as a trade sweetener end of this year or maybe next. He just doesn't seem to own it. OOTF kick for goal when it mattered, same thing in weeks past, I dunno, he just doesn't seem to want it the way a lot of our other younger guys do - for contrast look at the way Jimmy W put his body and soul on the line for spoils and marks today.

Dunstan desperation saved a sure Cats goal

Congrats to you guys tonight, no excuses just got well beaten by a better team. Exciting times for the Saints, whilst the dogs, Dee's and giants are getting the plaudits, the Saints are building and will be a team challenging for flags again before you know it. Also great attacking game style which is fantastic to watch. Good luck for the rest of the season.

I wouldn't say that he doesn't really want it, no he's not a real mungrel but tackles hard.
He's just not very talented with kicking compared to a Webster.
Seems to be stuck in similar ways but because he's young and does the basics well he will keep his spot and would be a fair risk to trade him

Dunstan isn't a great kick otherwise he would of been a top10 pick give him a couple years Saints seem to have fixed Stevens and Ross Kicking give him 2 years
