Anyone on this board remember the two grand finals we played against each other in 2002 and 2003? They were such classic AFL magic moments. After 2 straight losses the Lions are going to come out pretty hard and just like the 2003 granny Collingwood should start favourites.
Forgive me, but I am at work at the moment; bored and contemplating Saturday night's game and thought i would kick up some dust before the game.
Hopefully Aker will be doing a handstand at the end of the night - oh - that was last Saturday

Pity! We should have won the 2002 flag.Since everyone is still talking about Tarrant,had he had kicked straight at the end of the third quarter,we quite possibly would have won that game.
2003-when Rocca got suspended that week,leigh Mathews was breaking out the champagne on Tuesday night before the game.Also weren't the Brisbane players given some ????? shots to help their injuries.
Gee those shots must have worked,because not only did they recover in a few days but they were all running around like jak rabbits during game day.
Seemed like they were on speed or something.It's a bit dubious when a team has 7-8 injured players a few days before a Grand final with what you would normally term as serious injuries,but showed nothing on game game infact were fitter than usual.
Hang on, I better talk to Ben Cousins about this he may shed some light on the situation.Wasn't he on something during last year's grand final?

we are mostly over the grand finals , we meant last year when your team realised they couldnt beat us so they tried to injure as many as possible (rmeber Charmans cheap shot Rocca sure does).

Can you name any other cheap shots? That is just one. Isolated incidents happen all the time. I seriously don't think that trying to injure the opposition by taking cheap shots is part of the Brisbane game plan (official or unofficial).

That was accidental and in no way did Notting aim for his head. Thought the Caracella incident might come up. I dont beleve that Brisbane play any dirtier than Collingwood do. This means i believe that Collingwood play fairly (only started to after the 2003 granny).

Burns did not line up Brown in 03 Brown says this Burns says this Voss says this.

in 02 Voss took 2 major hits one from Clement when he lined up Clement but Clement held firm and Voss fell on his arse bad fricken luck the second time was a heavy tackle from Burns that Voss has later stated was one of the things that made him really respect bruns.

Neither of these hits were dirty and one of which was the aftermath of a Voss hit so id say yes you are dirtier than Collingwood.

Untalented? Collingwood would have traded all the shaw sisters for a player like Pike. Not sure how you could say he was untalented - you didn't like him, yes (I would not have liked him either if i was an opposition supporter because he was so good - but untalented he wasn't).
Brisbane were not (and are not) a team of dirty players. Emotions escalate and in a tussle things happen but we did't give cheap shots and do not now.

Obviously you were shooting up before the 2003 GF. Another media myth that "Collingwood were the Favourites". I seem to remember the fact that our key forward got wiped out for a tap in the back of the head in a marking comp the week before the game, how convenient for the AFLs salary cap push into Queensland. The classic moment was 04 when Port kept our 4 in a row record intact for us (how ironic that the wannabees helped out the original Magpies). But somehow we started favourites? Bandwagoneer and troll me thinks.
