I believe he's been looking for other opportunities but the Club were planning to move him on prior to that happening.
Wonder if he's checked out this year like Ken

And so it needs to be. Our fitness levels are deplorable. They want to bring in a new fitness boss to work under Parham. Going to be a very different setup to the current system under Graham.
Great news. The way we have been overrun this year (especially early in the season) is inexcusable. Glad that it appears it hasnt been tolerated. They want to bring in a new fitness boss to work under Parham. Going to be a very different setup to the current system under Graham.
They're both from the Burgess tree regardless.
Though it's a touch ironic that Port won't bring back Burgess but are okay with his students leading the club

The 3 games where we won the 4th quarter were West Coast (18th), Melbourne (13th) and GWS (8th). All wins4th quarter record

I don’t rate our condition at all, but very hard to compare Apples to Oranges. The playing group know everyone has checked out before this season started, the succession plan only highlighted that this year was merely the club going through the motions because it couldn’t/wouldn’t pay out a contract…It's really weird whatever they did in the pre-season that resulted in our poor 4th quarters this year.
We were so good in close games over 23/24 too. Our 4th quarter record wasn't elite but we were slightly in the positive those 2 seasons. We never looked unfit like we did this year, where you'd think we lost due to poor fitness.

We haven't been in that many close games because we've been rat-shit so that stat doesn't stand out, the 4th quarters though. We were 7-0-15 in 2011, and 5-2-15 in 2012 for reference. This is the worst season we've had in the AFL for 4th quarter W/L statistically.
That sounds like a Hinkley type excuse RickWe have alot of young players in our team this year, that would increase our 4th correlation of being gassed compared to experienced sides
Issue wasn't output when it came to Burgess, it's that he dropped everything and ran ... twice. They're both from the Burgess tree regardless.

We shouldn't fall for the mistake of just analysing poor 4th quarters. We have had other quarters where we've been clearly cooked and outrun - particularly early in the season. The Collingwood game in R1 was really bad, we were so far off the pace for fitness, and I think the Saints game about 5 rounds in we were running in mud early. It's really weird whatever they did in the pre-season that resulted in our poor 4th quarters this year.
This isn't one poor preseason, it's a few at least - particularly when it comes to lack of size.Wonder if he's checked out this year like Ken
When our best runners in game are a first year player (Moraes) and a near 40yo player (Boak), I think it's clear there's something else going on.We have alot of young players in our team this year, that would increase our 4th correlation of being gassed compared to experienced sides

Boys vs men again. We looked like weak kids against Carlton. Same theme all year

I think if we could split each quarter into halves, we would have had our worst season for second half of quarters too - especially once you exclude the first. This is the worst season we've had in the AFL for 4th quarter W/L statistically.
