Not selecting Ole Kirk hurt but apart from that i had a reasonable round. Oliver over Pikey wasn't great either. I'll have a $100,000 gain thanks to Montefilia, RC & Wild Ruler

I have avoided that race despite being a G1.
500K for the other fav is too expensive.

Probably the wrong move to not play in 1 of only 2 G1s this week- its not like there is going to be a whole bunch of G2 certainties going around this week either

i agree, 18 runners and very open and you will be paying top dollar for most means you can score very low points with high price horses.

Yep. As stated above, paying top dollar for more than likely low points.

Problem is enough will pick horses in it that you will fall behind those who nail the winner. You'd have to be very confident of nailing some other winners with your selections and there is only 2 other G2s from memory.

Not an easy round coming up. I was going to go safer bets in the Cup with the likes of Finche who should be top 5-6 and collect some decent enough points, without likely winning the race. However I think if I want to stay towards the top I need to use the extra cash I have now to aim at the AVD's/VE's and hope they win while being out of reach of other stables. The rich get richer type theory.

Similar with Nature Strip.

Currently rolling with a 3x GR1, 1x GR2, 6x GR3 split. G3 emergency.

They should have double points for feature races, would make it an interesting call on some of the high priced cup horses.

If only there was a comp that did this.
