I hope im not talking out of school here, but I hope in time Adam can reflect on what happened and comes to the realisation that he accepted the burden on behalf of his people (from a racism perspective) by taking a stand and has advanced the political agenda of fighting for the rights of his people as the traditional owners of the land and the injustices they have faced, and continue to face today.

It was a heavy price to pay and I don't think he or anyone else knew he would receive the level of backlash he did, but the abuse he copped was clear evidence of how much further we need to go as a nation to eradicate racism in this country. By continuing to boo him, sections of the public were demonstrating they werent comfortable letting go of their deep-seeded views on aboriginal people and their perception of their standing in society.

It's a sad reality, but people will need to continue to stand up against racism until it's gone, and hopefully Adam's actions inspire all Australians to continue to stand up against racism.

I was with you until the Buddy thing...

He's 33 and there is going to be precious little time during the season when he is not carrying something. Keep him off the field due to minor injuries or niggles, and he'll never play again... If he feels fit enough, and the doctors will let him, then let him play I say!

Improving on last year would definitely be a pass. We managed 8 wins last year, so 10 wins would be a pass.

It is almost definitely the case that we will be in the bottom 10 teams, the team is too young and inexperienced to realistically expect finals this season. If things go badly we will be towards the bottom, if things go well we could be towards the top end, maybe even pushing for a place at the bottom of the 8.

Yup, last year before the season Champion Data released their rankings of the teams before the season - top two were Melbourne and Adelaide. The year before they had ranked West Coast at 12th, they went on to win the Premiership. They seem to have a thing with the 12th ranked team, because that was where they had Richmond before their 2017 premiership.

I don't know why the players would care where Championship Data rate us.
