The Fat Contoller may be ultimately responsible for the demise of Collingwood and the concessions that Collingwood has had to deliver them concessions to win premierships recently. Share both Vic venues between all Vic clubs. No father sons anymore.

Wrong thread (joking ) there is a stat somewhere that says how many kids go through the academy and the % of how many make the top
The stat that I'd love to see is what % of elite kids enter Aussie rules in each state. Without the academies it would be pretty near zero I would think.

NRL have a real stranglehold - we def need the academies. NRL signing up kids - rugby really struggling as a result and so would we without the academies.
The reason Collingwood play all their games at the G is simple. $$$$.
At the end of the day, that outweighs anything else from the AFL's perspective.

Whether they win or not, I hope we fight them hard. This is just like the playground at primary school. The AFL are the year 6 kids. They set the rules. We are the year 2 kids. We can take their lunch, we can put mud in their bags.
We need to make everyone in the AFL industry aware of all advantages to every club.
We may even get St Kilda and Western Bulldogs and other clubs onside about MCG access.
Of course there will be compromises. The AFL is so compromised they have to compromise their compromises.
Anything big Vic clubs gain need to be at substantial cost.
Even if we don't manage to extract cost. I just want us to fight them hard.

The Swans are rarely out of the finals picture and with some impressive reinforcements, they should be back in the top eight once again next season. Brodie Grundy looks like the perfect addition to elevate their talented, young midfielders. Sydney has also added plenty of experience to prepare it for another finals charge. It should be eyeing off at least a home final and pushing for another deep run in September.
