The swans won't make the finals because:

* Too many Swans players believe what the Sydney media says about them and become complacent.

* Any team that has a player like Goodes in the forwards is always going to struggle as he can't kick straight.

* Can't play in Melbourne, which is where the finals are played.

* Lack of depth - as soon as they get a few injuries they struggle.

The problem is that if they don't make the finals again this year, they will lose a lot of members.....

What do you Swannies fans reckon......

It's crunch time for the Swans, over the next couple of weeks our form will have to improve or we will not make the finals.

The players have become too complacent and started to believe their own hype after our good start to the season.

I believe we can make the finals, though we will not be in the top four. But for that to happen, the players have to reverse the bad habits they've developed over the last 3 weeks.

The one things that is in the Swans favour is the draw this year. Six of the next Eight at home is a dream run for a side out of form, but they will need to win at least four or five of those to play in the finals. The pressure is on them...are they good enough to beat the likes of the Lions, Port and the Blues at home? They won't beat the Pies or the Tigs in Melbourne but should beat the Dockers, Cats and Bullies at home....I think they will just miss the finals.

The problem is that with an ageing list they need to have success in the next two years because after that the retirements of Schwass, Dunkley, Kelly, Maxfield, Luff, Ball, Williams, Cresswell, Lewis will too big a whole in the side and they will need to go into a 'rebuilding phase' and membership will drop off. Some success before that happens is vital to the club staying afloat...

You`re a bloody know it all are`nt you.

The Swans are doing much better than the Roos at present.

They need a bit of consistency . They will beat the Bulldogs on saturday.

No need to be a smartarse Sixer.

And the way the Swans played against the Lions there is no way that they can beat the Doggies.

Try writing somehting constructive next time....

Its gonna be a tough assignment for the swans this week against the Doggies :) But if the Swans will be inspired by something, it will be goodes's 50th game. He has played 49 sensational games for the swans and best of luck to him on sunday.
Go dogs!
gl to both teams.

I am looking forward to a 'hard fought battle at the SCG on Sunday'
Bulldogs go into the game clear favourites, but Dont be surprised if you see a little bit of an upset.
