You would think but I'm pretty sure the AFL has guaranteed the aflw will continue which in these times it's hard to justify.

This is becoming like BLM rubbish, this political correctness has to stop, the AFLW, oh no don't touch that, we will offend the woman, IF THE WOMAN WANT A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN WHY NOT FUND IT THEMSELVES!
I'm seriously pissed about it .

Please don't bring gendered violence into this to try and give your point credence, it's trying to go down the victim blaming argument again and it holds no weight here. How about this, do you have more sympathy for a smoker or a non smoker who gets lung cancer? Probably the non smoker, doesn't mean you don't have sympathy for both but peoples choices affect the amount of sympathy you have. It's not a complex point.

10 weeks for breaching a PR exercise. Seems extreme. There was no risk of Covid infection, they did not break Queensland health restrictions (although did get involved in a low-grade punch-up). Normally a club sanction of a couple of weeks, but because of the “look of the game” they get 10 weeks? And taking the money out of the soft cap seems extreme.

I am confused why Buckley is still coaching Collingwood. Is it because his misdemeanour occurred on WA?

There’s other ways to demonstrate empathy, support and contrition than instagram posts. Let’s just wait and see what the playing group does.

Haere Ra

Spot on!

You need to get over this, AFLW is here to stay.

No it was a Club ban for 10 matches for breaching advised and educated protocols that enabled the competition to re-commence it's 2020 season. An after-midnight unauthorised visit to an unauthorised venue (strip club) whilst intoxicated was not a permitted exception. It's not that hard to get your head around!

Caro's comments about Richmond's VFL program start at about 7 minutes in to the interview with Paul Marsh.

Caro and Tim Lane carrying on like idiots having a go at Paul Marsh.
They think he actually sets the penalties or something?
Paul Marsh handled himself well, he said the agreement was if players broke covid rules the maximum penalty would be 10 weeks, which is what they got.
Caro said but they agreed not to break the rules, she literally made no sense.

Lane saying CCJ's penalty should start at the start of next season because he was unlikely to play this year, which would be the first time ever a players suspension would start from when they were more likely to get a game in the seniors.

Senile the both of them.

The cost to AFL of running the AFLW is 20 million per year. That is a pittance given lions, suns, saints and gws all received around that amount from the afl last year.

And it doesn’t even touch on the fact that clubs with aflw teams have all experienced increased membership and sponsorship dollars due to their women’s programs.

Women’s football is simply core business for the AFL now and it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Oh I understand. But I think the protocols only exist for PR reasons. The same offence in a normal season would not attract a 10 week suspension.

It’s barely been 24 hours since the fine was even announced and I wouldn’t even be surprised if all the parties involved haven’t even sat down to have a proper discussion and got the relevant advice (the players association, the players involved, the club, the afl and the club’s managers) about who will be paying what to who
It’s all just people from all sides in damage control for mine with a good dash of media sensationalism thrown in for good measure

Talk of players leaving or being traded for whatever reason is extremely premature and just plain hyperbole
The way his manager is speaking (stack that is) seems to reflect he’s pissed at how the club has handled it, and has also hinted that he might not be at Richmond next season

I actually think all of this is related to the season shutting down due to COVID.

Pre COVID, Stack look in great shape and immaculate form in the Marsh series.

I can see how someone like Sydney, who hasn't had a lot of structure in his life would struggle with the isolation and lack of oversight of the covid break.

By all reports he struggled, and came back to the club out of shape.

His poor fitness means he has been out of the team for majority of the season.

Being out of the team means he has very little to do, training sessions and kick and giggle scrimmages.

The lack of ressies means he has too much time on his hands, and devil finds work for idle hands.

All of this sits on his own shoulders and he needs to own his poor choices, but I can see why Stack has found himself in the position he has found himself in.
He's played 9/15 missed some due to small injury but has had opportunity.

I hate it when oppo trolls, who unashamedly troll the main board, then come into our board and pretend to have a voice worth listening to. In fact, it makes me laugh that they are so stupid to think we can't remember some of the drivel they've posted. Well, we do remember.

Im R C and that's my take
Yep, I kind of wish he would **** right off now. Why are you even here FreeTK? Why do you care so much that you're posting in this thread round the clock seemingly.

Considering that a. we do card people when they are trolling this guy is 1 card off a perma ban and b. You are ban on sight on almost every other board on the site but we keep it quiet because you don't cause us issues i would think you would be a bit more contrite.
Oh, so he is the trolling DH I thought he was. Someone should tell NaturalDisaster.

As for other boards, I’m not allowed to defend myself on here, so will have to refrain commenting on that subject. I’m grateful I’m allowed to post on this board but I’m certainly not “contrite”. If I’m causing you grief though mate feel free to ban me.

Bucks staying was the Pies punishment for the breach 😍

He isnt trolling in this thread no.

We do a lot for this board and let you guys get away with plenty and this is the thanks we get.
Like i said generally we have no issues with you mate and have put ourselves on the line going in to bat for richmond people plenty of times but the abuse we get for no reason sometimes makes you think why bother.

He’s contracted for one and in the statement shared by stack he makes it very clear he loves the club, he wouldn’t of said it if he didn’t

Also how good is Eddie Betts showing his support for stack 6A4F1848-7C6D-4F84-8FF4-5DFF31ACBB27.jpeg
